According to the Hollywood Reporter, Disney+ is developing a feature adaptation of Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty's Once On This Island, with a screenplay by playwright Jocelyn Bioh (School Girls; Or, The African Mean Girls Play) and direction by Wanuri Kahiu. Marc Platt will produce the project.

Fueled By Ramen band All Time Low has surprised fans with the Saint Patrick's Day release of “Getaway Green”, the third track off their forthcoming full-length album Wake Up, Sunshine. The eagerly anticipated song, which saw its live debut at last year's Slam Dunk Festival, is available to stream and download. All Time Low has also released an official music video for the track, recorded live at intimate shows in Boston, New York, Baltimore, Leeds, and London this January. Sad Summer Fest (presented by Journeys) returns in 2020 to build on the momentum created by its inaugural year. In its first summer, Sad Summer Fest trekked across the US featuring shared headlining duties from Mayday Parade, The Maine, and State Champs. 

Hinder drummer Cody Hanson and frontman Marshal Dutton recently announced a new project called Dangerous Hippies. Last month they unveiled their new video 'Like A Ghost' that premiered over at American Songwriter. Dutton on the song: “Like a Ghost is a story about being out-shined and loving it!” Hanson talks about the re-worked Americana version: “The great thing about this project is that there are no rules. If we wake up and hear different version of a song in our heads, we'll work it up and release it.” “You know you have a good song when you can produce it in any style and you love it just as much as you did before.” 

Sacramento's own Dance Gavin Dance have announced the release of their much-anticipated ninth full-length studio album, Afterburner, on Friday, April 24 via Rise Records. Produced by longtime collaborator Kris Crummett (Issues, Sleeping With Sirens, Mayday Parade) and Drew Fulk a.k.a. WZRD BLD (Lil Wayne, Motionless in White, Bad Wolves), the LP is a landmark mission statement for the band and encompasses DGD energy past, present, and future. In the midst of the devastating news of the Australian wildfires, horror-inspired theatrical metal group ICE NINE KILLS have launched an exclusive, limited-edition t-shirt, as seen above. 100% of the profits from sales will be donated to aid in the country's relief efforts. The band traveled to Australia in December of last year for the first time to take part in the Good Things Festival (Sydney), along with a handful of headlining gigs in Brisbane and Melbourne.

Hinder drummer Cody Hanson and frontman Marshal Dutton have announced a new project under the moniker Dangerous Hippies. The idea for the new band unofficially started in 2011 when the two were working as a songwriting/production partnership, before Marshall joined Hinder. They were approached to write a song for a commercial that was similar to The Black Keys. Once it was finished and they started to share the end result, the feedback from friends inspired them to continue. Cody Hansen says: 'We were very inspired and were having a blast, so we decided to write more in the same style. It seemed to come naturally and since it had a more raw feel, we could spend more time on writing and less time polishing in the studio.' Over the years the sound has grown and evolved into a mixture of several styles with elements of rock, pop, hip hop, folk and reggae letting the duo spread their songwriting wings beyond the active rock they are best known for.
