A Soldier's Play opens tonight on Broadway at the American Airlines Theatre.

A Soldier's Play officially opened on Broadway on January 21 for a limited engagement at the American Airlines Theatre on Broadway (227 West 42nd Street).

In what has become an annual ritual, a total of 40 established and emerging composers, lyricists, and librettists will converge on the Goodspeed campus from mid-January through mid-February 2020 to participate in the Johnny Mercer Foundation Writers Colony at Goodspeed Musicals. The writing teams, representing 15 new musicals, will populate the campus, creating a truly exciting environment for discovery and inspiration.

Orchestra of St. Luke's (OSL) today announced detailed programming for the second annual OSL Bach Festival, spanning three weeks from June 9-30, 2020, with concerts and masterclasses across four venues in Manhattan-including three orchestral concerts at Carnegie Hall-and featuring guest artists cellist Pieter Wispelwey, harpsichordist Jean Rondeau, and soprano Amanda Forsythe. The OSL Bach Festival was launched last June to great success as part of the first season of esteemed Baroque and Classical Music specialist Bernard Labadie as OSL Principal Conductor.

Signature Theatre has just announced that the company's Annual Gala on Monday, March 30, 2020 will celebrate Signature's current Residency 1 Playwright Anna Deavere Smith and honor Signature Theatre Board President and Margot Adams Signature Award Recipient Nina B. Matis.

Birdland Jazz Club has released its schedule for December 30-January 12. Performers include Marilyn Maye, John Pizzarelli and Jessica Molaskey Duo, The Billy Stritch Trio, and more.

In his second season as principal conductor, Bernard Labadie leads Orchestra of St. Luke's (OSL) in its 33rd concert series in Carnegie Hall's Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage. The series begins with Italian pianist Beatrice Rana joining OSL for two Bach keyboard concertos on Thursday, October 17 at 8:00 p.m. The program is bookended by two works by Mendelssohn: The Hebrides Overture and a?oeScottisha?? Symphony.

At the June 17 Annual Meeting, Trinity Repertory Company's Board of Trustees elected seven new trustees to three-year terms: Judhajit De, Sergio M. Gonzalez, Sean Holley, James Hurley, Lawrence J. La Sala, Sara Shea McConnell, and Julia Ann Slom. Reelected for another term were: Jonathan Duffy, Brian McGuirk, Kibbe Reilly, Kathryn Sabatini, and Arthur Solomon.

Bay Street Theater is pleased to announce THE PROMPTER, the first production of the 2019 Mainstage Season, had a successful opening night on June 1. The show runs through June 16. This World Premiere stars Tovah Feldshuh (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, The Walking Dead, Golda's Balcony) and Wade Dooley (Jersey Boys), who is also the playwright. The 72nd Annual Tony Awards are this Sunday June 10th at 8/9c hosted by Josh Groban and Sara Bareilles.
