Patti Suarez takes the stage at Theatre Artists Studio for a rare glimpse into a career that spanned years on Broadway as well as television news in Los Angeles and Phoenix.
A pastiche in this sense is "a medley of various ingredients." Patti's Pastiche includes songs and stories from Broadway and life. Accompanied by pianist Mark Foreman, Patti Suarez takes us back to a less complicated time, where young girls dreamed of stardom and a few actually made it. She recalls her first job at 14 singing at funerals for $4 a song in small town Missouri while dreaming of making it on Broadway.
It's a little bit of a tell-all and a lot of inside dish on the famous and not so famous. Her take on backstage antics, television media bosses, and even the really nice people in the business is a done with humor and song.
The production will close February 27 at 2:00 p.m. Tickets are $20 for adults; $15 for groups of 10 or more and $10 for students age 25 and under. Tickets can be purchased online at www.thestudiophx.org, or by phone at 602-765-0120. Theatre Artists Studio is located at 4848 E.
