FOOTLOOSE Enters Final Week At Theater Works

As one of the most explosive movie musicals in recent memory FOOTLOOSE bursts onto the live stage with exhilarating results. Nominated for four Tony Awards, FOOTLOOSE will have audience members dancing in their seats. To celebrate the rockin' musical Theater Works will be hosting a Dance Off Competition! The winner of the Dance Off Competition will win a Grand Prize - Two Tickets to see Lady Gaga in concert! In addition, Theater Works is offering a special group rate of 12 for $12 (bring 12 or more friends and tickets are only $12/person)! Leading the dancing revolution is Theater Works, one and only, Jack Lytle, Executive Director. This is Jack's acting debut and he is performing as Reverend Shaw! When Ren McCormack, played by Tyler Gasper, and his mother move from Chicago to a small farming town, Ren is prepared for the inevitable adjustment period at his new high school. What he isn't prepared for are the rigorous local edicts, including a ban on dancing instituted by the local preacher, determined to exercise the control over the town's youth that he cannot command in his own home. To the rockin' rhythm of its Oscar and Tony-nominated top 40 score with dynamic new songs for the stage musical, FOOTLOOSE celebrates the wisdom of listening to young people, guiding them with a warm heart and an open mind.

The Dance Off Competition follows each Thursday evening performance as audience members will have the opportunity to show off their dancing skills. The winner of each Thursday Dance Off Competition will then participate in the Dance Off Finale on Sunday, March 13th after the final performance. To enter all you need is a ticket stub for a Thursday night performance of Footloose at Theater Works. Before the show sign up in our lobby for the Dance Off Lottery. Each Thursday night 5 lucky contestants will be drawn at random to dance on the Main Stage in front of a live audience following Footloose! FOOTLOOSE runs March 3rd - March 13th, with evening performances Thursday - Saturday at 7:00 p.m. and matinee performances on Saturday and Sunday at 1:30 p.m. Tickets are only $20.00 for adults and $16.00 for students (prices include service and processing fees).
