The Bercy (7 Lancaster Avenue) celebrates their first holiday season in Ardmore and on the Main Line with a very special new tradition for families. On Saturday, December 22, 2018, The Bercy will partner with The Pennsylvania Academy of Ballet for the first Children's Tea in Paris, from 12:00pm to 3:00pm. Families are invited to enjoy a special tea service seating on the upper Mezzanine with traditional finger sandwiches, pastries and fresh-baked offerings from The Bercy's own kitchen. Following tea and sandwiches, participants will enjoy selections from the Nutcracker by the Academy, followed by special make-your-own take-away gift bags. A Children's Tea in Paris at The Bercy is $45 per person. Tickets are on sale now:

"The Bercy celebrates our first holiday season with a special event near and dear to my heart," said General Manager Jonathan Vettori. "During my hospitality career I have worked on and brought to life many children's and families events like this - and I wanted to bring that sense of magic and tradition to our majestic space. Philadelphia has a long tradition with rich holiday events for children and their families. I wanted to bring that to the Main Line. I wanted to create an annual tradition for the young families in Ardmore and on the Main Line that they could come to look forward to every holiday season. We already are discussing expanding this event next year and making it even more grand."

A Children's Tea in Paris at The Bercy will begin with tea service seating starting at Noon on the upper mezzanine - which is handicapped accessible via elevator. Families will enjoy a traditional tea service that Executive Chef Joseph Monnich and his team have created just for the occasion. Look for trays of finger sandwiches, elegant pastries, madelines, scones and other treats. All pastries and baked goods are made in-house. Tea sandwiches will include cucumber, smoked salmon and more kid friendly options.

Following tea service, families will be invited to watch a special performance featuring selections of the Nutcracker by the The Pennsylvania Academy of Ballet. The main dining floor of The Bercy will be cleared and transformed into a stage for the special appearance, with children being invited to sit up close and personal on the teal banquets just feet away from the performers. Following the performance, families will be invited to create a custom gift to bring home with a special gourmet marshmallow and candy take-away station.

Vettori added, "Our grand holiday decor and modern take on the French brasserie make The Bercy such an amazing venue for a Children's Tea. We hope to explore future family-friendly events like this in 2019."
