Some Like It Hot will begin performances on Broadway this fall on Tuesday, November 1 and officially open Sunday, December 11 at the Shubert Theatre (225 West 44th Street). Last night, October 21, Mrs. Doubtfire, the new musical comedy, had it’s first preview performance on Broadway since the 19-month long shutdown. Mrs. Doubtfire was shutdown after just three performances in March 2020. Watch as they take their joyous first bows back.

The most beautiful thing in the world is a shoe at The Muny this weekend and into next week, as Kinky Boots, based on a 2005 film of the same name, takes the stage in its extraordinary St. Louis premiere after its six-year run on Broadway. There, it won multiple Tony awards, with a book by Harvey Feirstein and music and score by Cyndi Lauper, direction and choreography by Jerry Mitchell (direction re-created for The Muny by DB Bonds and choreography by Rusty Mowery). With its many glitzy surprises and its variety of endearing and glamorous characters, this show will have you saying YEAH!

Wayne Brady visits the The Daily Show with Trevor Noah to explain why he's returning to Broadway as Lola in  'Kinky Boots' and shares some choice words for a homophobic Facebook troll. Brady will be taking over for J. Harrison Ghee, who will be temporarily leaving the show for another project. Ghee will return to Kinky Boots on Tuesday, May 1, 2018.

Kinky Boots producers Daryl Roth and Hal Luftig announced today that Jake Shears, lead singer of the glam pop group Scissor Sisters, will make his Broadway debut as 'Charlie Price', succeeding Stark Sands beginning Monday, January 8, 2018. He will play for a limited run through Sunday, April 1, 2018. That same day, January 8, returning to the cast as 'Lola' is J. Harrison Ghee, who succeeds Billy Porter.

Grammy Award-nominated Panic! At the Disco front man Brendon Urie has taken his final bow as 'Charlie Price' in Kinky Boots. The rock singer made his Broadway debut in early June and played a ten week run of sold out shows. Check out his final bow in the video below!
