On Friday, September 10 Apple TV+ will premiere Come From Away. The live performance was filmed at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre this past May in New York City, where the Broadway production is staged, for an audience that included 9/11 survivors and front-line workers; and, employed over 200 people including members of the Broadway crew, staff and creative teams.

Today we rewind to 2014, when The Bridges of Madison County was preparing for Broadway. The musical, written by Jason Robert Brown and Marsha Norman, played for 100 performances at the Gerald Schoennfeld Theatre. 

Today we rewind to 2011 for opening night of Bonnie & Clyde, starring Laura Osnes and Jeremy Jordan as the title duo. Bonnie & Clyde, featuring music by Frank Wildhorn, opened on December 1 at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre, where it ran for 36 performances. In the show, two small-town kids from the middle of nowhere became the biggest folk heroes in all America. They craved adventure-and each other. Their names were Bonnie and Clyde and now, this sexy new musical has claimed the Schoenfeld Theatre as its hideout.

Today, producers Eden Espinosa, Bridget Elise Yingling, Scott Prisand, Doug Feurring and Jana Shea announced a one-night-only 15th Anniversary reunion concert of BKLYN: The Musical featuring Original Broadway stars Drama League nominee Eden Espinosa (RENT, Wicked) as Brooklyn, Tony Award winner Karen Olivo (Moulin Rouge, In the Heights) as Faith, and stage star Ramona Keller (The Public Theatre's Hercules, City Center's Little Shop of Horrors) as Paradice. The concert, which benefits Covenant House Foundation (www.covenanthouse.org), will be presented on the 15th anniversary of the show's Broadway opening night, Monday, October 21 at 7:30 PM, at Brooklyn Steel (319 Frost Street, Brooklyn, NY 11222). Citizens of Gander gathered at the Gander Musical Theatre Symposium, to perform a rendition of Welcome to the Rock from Come From Away!

Audiences need not come all the way to New York City to celebrate the epic tale of humanity at its best, however. Since the musical took Broadway by storm in 2017, it has opened all around the world, sharing its touching, universal story across the globe. Today, we celebrate the show's journey from Gander to Broadway and everywhere in between!

Come From Away now has four separate companies performing across the world - Broadway, Toronto, London, and the North American Tour. To celebrate the show's second anniversary on Broadway, the producers made a video of its four casts performing the finale.

COME FROM AWAY celebrated its 100th performance in Toronto today. Creators Irene Sankoff and David Hein were on hand to present the cast with a cake commemorating the milestone.
