Last month, composer Georgia Stitt along with violinist Victoria Paterson and Kate Baldwin reunited at SubCulture to perform 'Alphabet City Cycle.' Originally recorded in 2009, the song cycle with lyrics by Marcy Heisler consists of five songs about women alone in New York City.

The Dramatists Guild's Anti-Piracy Committee just hosted their first-ever Anti-Piracy awareness event on Monday, April 21. During the event, established and up-and-coming musical theatre writers paired up to reach out to known sheet music pirates and ask them to take down the links to their sheet music. The day is intended to raise awareness about the problem of sheet music piracy and take steps against the digital distribution of stolen sheet music. BroadwayWorld goes inside the event and brings you interviews with the composers below!
