A chilly, grey April afternoon: not the most auspicious weather for an occasion such as the Olivier Awards. Before the nominees and guests arrived it looked set to be another rain-soaked affair, as fans and members of the press were subjected to a bit of a drenching, but with the arrival of the stars came a dry spell - and a chance for us to chat with a selection of excited (and nervous) artists on their way into the Royal Albert Hall.

With the critically acclaimed The Son currently running at Kiln Theatre, and with Inua Ellams' The Half God of Rainfall in rehearsals, Artistic Director Indhu Rubasingham today announced the full cast for Blues in the Night - Susie McKenna directs Sharon D Clarke (The Lady), Debbie Kurup (The Woman), Clive Rowe (The Man) and Gemma Sutton (The Girl) the first major London revival in 30 years. The production opens on 24 July, with previews from 18 July, and runs until 7 September.

Musical Theatre Concert producers Club 11 London announce that after the 2016 and 2018 sell out concerts, Broadway and TV star Jeremy Jordan will return on Friday 25th, Saturday 26th & Sunday 27th October 2019 at Cadogan Hall, London, for just four shows.

Artistic Director of the Young Vic, Kwame Kwei-Armah, today announces the full cast for Arthur Miller's Death of a Salesman, a co-production with Elliott & Harper Productions and Cindy Tolan.

The British Theatre Academy is to return to Southwark Playhouse for a second summer season of shows.

Rachel John recently finished her Olivier-nominated run as Angelica Schuyler in Hamilton at the Victoria Palace Theatre. She has also been seen in Memphis and The Bodyguard. Rachel is now appearing in West End Women at Cadogan Hall with Celinde Schoenmaker and Lauren Samuels. She spoke to BroadwayWorld about the concert.

Audiences have just five weeks left to see this critically acclaimed production of Caroline, Or Change starring Sharon D. Clarke. The final performance will take place at the Playhouse Theatre on Saturday March 2nd at 7.30pm.

Caroline, Or Change tells the story of a maid in Louisiana in 1963. Racial and class tensions form the backdrop, but the show also contains a great deal of joy, humour and sass thanks to a frankly glorious cast led by the inimitable Sharon D. Clarke.

Production photography is released today for the hit West End production Caroline, Or Change, currently playing preview performances at the Playhouse Theatre, London with Opening Night on Monday 17 December.

Jim Carter and Imelda Staunton return to Kiln Theatre to host a one-off special cabaret event to raise funds for the theatre on Sunday, 10 March 2019 at 6pm. The line-up includes performances from Jim Broadbent, Sharon D Clarke, Michelle Dockery, Michael C Fox, Sir Derek Jacobi, Jamael Westman and Clive Rowe.

Hackney Empire today releases production images for Aladdin, its landmark 20th anniversary Christmas pantomime from writer and director Susie McKenna and composer Steven Edis. Today, November 18, the 64th Evening Standard Awards were presented in London.

In 2017 after seeing a performance of Barber Shop Chronicles at the National Theatre, Tobi Kyeremateng felt compelled to do something to help more young Black people get to the theatre. She set up Black Ticket Project. It raised funds to help people, who have not accessed and do not have the means to access theatre, get their hands on some tickets. Since 2017 the project has helped people see Nine Night, ear for eye, Poet in Da Corner, Misty, Sylvia, Dreamgirls, SUPERBLACKMAN and the BAC Beatbox Academy's Frankenstein. Black Ticket Project is now delighted to be announcing its biggest project to date.

Caroline, or Change is headed to the West End's Playhouse Theatre, led by Olivier Award-winning actress Sharon D. Clarke in a critically acclaimed virtuoso performance.
