The Bret Adams and Paul Reisch Foundation has announced the recipients of their special COVID-19 response grants for playwrights, composers, lyricists and librettists who have had a full professional production cancelled, closed, or indefinitely postponed due to the COVID-19 closures.

After producing, emceeing and accompanying 583 weekly musical theatre talent showcases at renowned midtown cabaret venue Don't Tell Mama since 2007 featuring over 3,000 performers, award-winning off-Broadway composer/lyricist Seth Bisen-Hersh is excited to bring his cabarets to the internet! 

As a greater number of online sources of entertainment are planned and released, Sue Matsuki at Cabaret Hotspot has been working with Broadway World Cabaret to compile scheduling information for the upcoming days. Love Quirks, A New Musical Fable will be making its Off-Broadway premiere in an open-ended run at St. Luke's Theatre (307 West 46thSt.) later this month. Based on actual events, Love Quirks spotlights a group of thirty-somethings (gay and straight), as they explore the bizarre tribulations of love, friendship, and all the blurry lines in-between. The production features an original score of quirky, neurotic, and poignant songs by composer/lyricist Seth Bisen-Hersh and a script by Mark Childers filled with laughter, pathos, and an abundance of sexual tension. Previews begin Friday, February 28th and the official opening night is slated for Monday, March 16th. Performances are on Mondays and Fridays at 8:15pm and Saturdays and Sundays at 2:00pm. Love Quirks is a new musical fable based on actual events as a group of thirty-somethings explore the trials and tribulations of love, friendship, and all the blurry lines in-between. Love Quirks features an original score of quirky, neurotic, and poignant songs by composer/lyricist Seth Bisen-Hersh and a script by Mark Childers filled with laughter, pathos, and lots of sexual tension. Love Quirks will begin previews at St. Luke's Theatre on Monday, February 24th with an official opening of Monday, March 16th.

Seth Bisen-Hersh and Mark Childers' musical, LOVE QUIRKS returns to NYC with an industry reading on Thursday, November 14th at 7:30PM and Friday, November 15th at 2PM at the Dramatists Guild Foundation's The Music Hall (356 W. 40th St., 2nd Floor).  

The Manhattan Association of Cabarets (MAC) announces the fifth year of its MAC TO SCHOOL weekend event.

The Stephen Sondheim Society and Mercury Musical Developments today announce West End Musical Director Gareth Valentine as the final judge for the 2019 Stephen Sondheim Society Student Performer of the Year (SSSSPOTY), alongside the previously announced Julia McKenzie, Peter Polycarpou, and Edward Seckerson. Lyricist Charles Hart and Olivier Award-winner Jenna Russell join Nkeki Obi-Melekwe and Stiles + Drewe to complete the judging panel for the Stiles + Drewe Best New Song Prize. Winners will be announced at Theatre Royal Haymarket on Sunday 9 June.
