The Actors Fund's annual gala last night, May 11, 2015 honored Academy Award-winning actor Morgan Freeman and three-term mayor of New York City, entrepreneur and philanthropist Michael R. Bloomberg, Founder of Bloomberg LP and Bloomberg Philanthropies. Bloomberg and Freeman received The Fund's Medal of Honor, the highest award given by the 133-year old non-profit human services organization serving everyone in performing arts and entertainment. On Monday, May 4, Cooper Hewitt Museum celebrated the Roundabout Theatre Company's new Broadway production of ON THE TWENTIETH CENTURY with special guest: Cooper Hewitt Trustee David Rockwell (nominated for two 2015 Tony Awards for his scenic designs of 'TWENTIETH CENTURY' and YOU CAN'T TAKE IT WITH YOU). Broadway legend Joel Grey (CABARET, WICKED) and Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein (FINDING NEVERLAND) will be the honorees at this year's Fred and Adele Astaire Awards. The gala evening celebrates the 2015 season's outstanding dance and choreography on Broadway and film. The event will take place on June 1, 2015 at NYU Skirball Center for the Performing Arts. BroadwayWorld has confirmed that Roundabout Theatre Company is canceling its June 7th matinee of On the Twentieth Century to accommodate star Kristin Chenoweth's co-hosting gig with Alan Cumming for the 2015 TONY AWARDS and the cast's performance that evening. Chenoweth will also be absent from the 8 p.m. show on June 6th.

Roundabout Theatre Company's Tony-nominated revival of On the Twentieth Century, which opened to widespread critical acclaim on Broadway, is now extended by two weeks through July 19, 2015 only.

Roundabout Theatre Company has announced that PS Classics will record the cast album of the critically acclaimed Broadway revival of ON THE TWENTIETH CENTURY on Monday, March 23, 2015. This new Broadway Cast Recording will be released on May 19, 2015. The production is currently playing at the American Airlines Theatre through July 5, 2015.

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Roundabout Theatre Company's Broadway production of On the Twentieth Century now technically opens on Sunday, March 15, 2015, as a result of Peter Gallagher missing a week of performances due to a sinus infection. Roundabout Theatre Company has announced additional casting for the new Broadway production of the classic musical On the Twentieth Century starring Tony & Emmy Award winner Kristin Chenoweth, Golden Globe & SAG Award winner & Tony nominee Peter Gallagher, Tony nominee Andy Karl, Mark Linn-Baker, Tony winner Michael McGrath and Tony winner Mary Louise Wilson. On the Twentieth Century will be choreographed by Tony winner Warren Carlyle and directed by six-time Tony nominee Scott Ellis, and features music by Cy Coleman and book & lyrics by Betty Comden and Adolph Green. On the Twentieth Century is based on plays by Ben Hecht, Charles MacArthur & Bruce Millholland. The original Broadway production was directed by Harold Prince.
