BroadwayWorld has just learned that the Royal Court Theatre/Atlantic Theater Company production of Martin McDonagh's new comedy Hangmen will not resume performances at Broadway's Golden Theatre following the suspension of Broadway on March 12, 2020. The Olivier Award-winning Best Play began performances on Saturday, February 28, 2020, played 13 previews and was scheduled to officially open on Thursday, March 19, 2020.

Two River Theater, under the leadership of Artistic Director John Dias and Managing Director Michael Hurst, will kick off the new year with Shakespeare's romantic comedy Twelfth Night, directed by Sara Holdren with original songs composed by the band/theater collective The Lobbyists. Performances will begin in Two River's Rechnitz Theater, 21 Bridge Avenue, on Saturday, January 11 and continue through Sunday, February 2. The opening night performance is Friday, January 17 at 7pm. As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Oscar nominee Martin McDonagh's play Hangmen has been eying a Broadway transfer, but the move is not to be, according to the New York Post. Michael Riedel reports that the play, playing through March 25 at Atlantic Theater Company's Linda Gross Theater, will not arrive on Broadway this spring because leading man Johnny Flynn and his wife are expecting a baby.
