The Eugene O'Neill Theater Center has announced selections for this summer's Cabaret and Performance Conference, under the leadership of Artistic Director Michael Bush.

Hartford Stage Artistic Director Michael Wilson feted in star-studded farewell performance June 20th.

Hartford Stage's departing Artistic Director Michael Wilson will be honored on Monday, June 20 for his 13 years of artistic leadership of the Tony Award-winning theatre. The Michael Wilson Tribute Celebration will be held at Hartford Stage's 50 Church Street theatre and will include performances by an array of artists who have worked at the theatre under Wilson's direction.

Yesterday, May 9, The Eugene O'Neill Theater Center presented its annual Monte Cristo Award to legendary Broadway and screen actor James Earl Jones, in recognition of his monumental achievements and contributions to the American and international theater community. The award was presented to Mr. Jones at a gala dinner that included special guests and performers Tony Award-nominee Michael Berresse ([title of show], Kiss Me Kate); Chris Chalk (Fences),; Academy Award-winner Michael Douglas (Wall Street); Emmy Award-winner Charles S Dutton (The Piano Lesson, 'Roc'); Tony Award nominee Penny Fuller (Dividing the Estate, The Dinner Party); Tony Award-winner Boyd Gaines (Driving Miss Daisy, Gypsy); Oscar, Tony and Emmy Award-winner Vanessa Redgrave (Driving Miss Daisy, Long Days Journey Into Night); Tony Award-winner Ruben Santiago-Hudson (Seven Guitars); Tony Award winner Leslie Uggams (On Golden Pond, King Hedley II); and Eugene O'Neill Theater Center Executive Director Preston Whiteway.

The Commercial Theater Institute's (CTI) upcoming 3-Day Producing Conference will take place on April 29 - May 1, 2011. The 30th Annual 3-Day Conference features an outstanding cast of top Broadway producers including: David Stone, Hal Luftig, Kristin Caskey, Larry Hirschhorn, Todd Haimes, Ted Chapin, and Kevin McCollum. The conference will also feature Tony Award® nominated actors Penny Fuller, Marc Kudisch, Tony Roberts, and theatre industry professionals including the Executive Director of The Broadway League, Charlotte St. Martin; Victoria Bailey, Executive Director of Theatre Development Fund; as well as Jed Bernstein, Program Director of CTI.

Roundabout Theatre Company's new Broadway production of Anything Goes, starring Tony Award winner Sutton Foster as 'Reno Sweeney' and Tony and Academy Award winner Joel Grey as 'Moonface Martin,' opened on Broadway last night to great reviews and we were there to capture the opening night party red carpet.

Last week, Primary Stages toasted the legendary theater doyenne Elizabeth Wilson in celebration of her 90th birthday with guest speakers Mike Nichols, Austin Pendleton and friends Penny Fuller, John Glover, Estelle Parson, director Jack Hofsis, Primary Stages artistic team Casey Childs, Elliot Fox, and Andrew Leynse, among others.

Last night, March 10, off-Broadway's Cactus Flower opened in New York City.
