This year Seattle Theatre Group (STG) marks the 25th anniversary of DANCE This, its signature dance program that brings together youth and adult performers from diverse communities to collaborate and share their culture through the art of dance.

The release marks Banhart’s 11th studio album - his first with Mexican Summer - and the first full length since the universally lauded Ma in 2019. It is also the first time the acclaimed singer/songwriter has collaborated with Welsh musician and producer Cate Le Bon. Check out upcoming tour dates!

Written with MUNA’s Katie Gavin and co-produced by The Japanese House’s Amber Bain with Chloe Kraemer, “One for sorrow, two for Joni Jones” is named after Bain’s dog, who is in turn named after Joni Mitchell. As the final track on the record, the song ends with a gentle flourish of pianos and single drum hit to seamlessly bring listeners back.

At a press conference held at Meridian Hall, the Toronto Alliance for the  Performing Arts (TAPA) announced 228 nominations for the 43rd Annual Dora Mavor Moore Awards, which recognize excellence in professional theatre, dance and opera in Toronto for the 2022-2023 season. Also announced at the press conference was the recipient of the Province of Ontario’s Pauline McGibbon Award. 

The tour announcement follows the release of the artist’s buzzy new single “Sunshine Baby” which features vocals from The 1975’s Matty Healy. Showcasing Bain’s nuanced understanding of human emotions, the track balances feelings of nostalgia and acceptance once a relationship has run its course.

Premera Blue Cross Broadway at The Paramount has announced that the electrifying Tony Award-Winning new musical phenomenon SIX by Tony Award-Winners Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss is coming to Seattle's The Paramount Theatre from Wednesday July 12 through Sunday, July 23.

The artists and mentors that will anchor the third annual ELEVATE, Seattle Theatre Group's (STG) showcase of Black and Brown youth voices uplifting one another through the art of spoken word, have been announced. This year's performers are Grace Hanson, Harlem Naché Yarbrough, Jazzmin Barrett, Joshua Rhodes, Laela Johnson, Maya Michelle Russell, Mikayla Sullivan, Yaasameen Waqo, Zion Montgomery, and Elijah Mbute.

JUNO nominated, alternative-pop band Valley - Rob Laska, Michael 'Mickey' Brandolino, Alex Dimauro, and Karah James - share their steadfast new single “Break For You” through Capitol Records/Universal Music Canada. “Break For You” arrives as the third single from the band’s upcoming sophomore album Lost In Translation.

Buzzy Americana artist-to-watch Jeremie Albino is back with the announcement of his highly anticipated sophomore studio album, Tears You Hide, alongside a new single with a palpable raw energy and a rickety foot stomping beat that we promise you will want to push play on over and over again.

Aidan Bissett returns with the indelible single “Out Of My League,” his first new music of 2023. With self-effacing humor, he spins an adrenalized, highly relatable tale of unrequited love. Bissett wrote the song with Captain Cuts’ Ryan Rabin and Benjamin Berger, who also produced, and David Charles Fisher. EELS confirm the limited-edition remastered vinyl reissue of their acclaimed 2005 album, Blinking Lights and Other Revelations. First released in April 2005, Blinking Lights endures as one of the band’s most personal records since 1998’s Electro-Shock Blues, with songs about faith, responsibility, growing up, dignity, hope and renewal.

Seattle Theatre Group (STG) presents the internationally acclaimed Berlin-based pianist, composer, and producer Nils Frahm for one night only on Thursday, April 27 at 8:00 PM at the Paramount Theatre. This event is part of STG's 2022/23 Performing Arts Season.
