Oakland Theater Project has announced its 2026 Season: The Land of The Free, featuring seven new productions that examine a foundational tenet of America.

Rainbow Zebra Productions LLC will continue its “Rainbow Zebra/Magic Theatre Reading Extravaganza,” a nine-month series of new play readings at Magic Theatre, located at Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture in San Francisco.

Produced by Rainbow Zebra Productions LLC and The Magic Theatre, this free reading – directed by Andrea Gordon - will take place on Monday, September 22, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. at The Magic Theatre.

What did our critic think of CASHED OUT at SF Playhouse? Cashed Out, an SF Playhouse commission two and a half years in the making, delivers on its portrayal of the bleak realities of reservation life including domestic violence, alcoholism, drug addiction, loss of culture and the casino culture and its ugly bi-product -gambling addiction. While these vices are not exclusive to indigenous peoples, they are seen at much higher incidences.
