Twice a month, Broadway Sessions welcomes a new Broadway cast/singers to perform, play games with the audience, engage in ridiculous interviews, open mic and celebrate all things Broadway. In this video, watch a special Black History Month edition!

Ben Cameron's long-running, award-winning, musical theatre variety series, Broadway Sessions, returns on February 2nd with its annual Black History Month celebration. The evening will celebrate Black impact, influence, and legacy on Broadway and beyond featuring an all-star cast of Black theatre artists. The night will be  co-hosted by Ben Cameron and Ari Groover (Tina, Little Shop of Horrors).

The event of the year is back! Arts Ignite has announced the return of its annual benefit concert, New York City Christmas: A Concert to Benefit Arts Ignite, taking place on Monday, December 12 at 7:00 PM at Joe's Pub at The Public in New York City.

It was a truly special and important night at 54 Below when A BENEFIT FOR QUENTIN OLIVER LEE is presented.

54 BELOW, Broadway’s Supper Club will present Quentin Oliver Lee in a barn-raising send up of one of New York’s brightest stars. A Benefit for Quentin Oliver Lee plays 54 Below (254 West 54th Street) on Monday, October 10, 2022 at 7pm and 9:30pm.

Jordan Donica, who made his Broadway debut in PHANTOM playing 'Raoul,' will return to the role beginning Sunday, May 29 for a limited engagement.  Maree Johnson will return to the Broadway cast as 'Madame Giry' on Monday, May 16 and more.

The Broadway Green Alliance will present a free Broadway Earth Day Concert in Times Square on April 23 to celebrate Earth Day.

Symphony Space (Executive Director: Kathy Landau), the NYC cultural institution that produces unforgettable one-night-only events, presents a quintessentially Symphony Space concert, Celebrating Sondheim: Songs from A Little Night Music, on Monday, April 25. Hosted by 2020 Tony Award winner and seven-time Tony nominee Danny Burstein, the event raises funds for Symphony Space’s year-round, multi-disciplinary programming and education programs.

Broadway Sessions celebrated the superheroes of Broadway as they were joined by an incredible group of Swings, Understudies & Standbys. The stellar lineup included Holly Ann Butler (Come from Away, Diana), Mateo Lizcano (Dear Evan Hansen), Lindsay Roberts Greene (Phantom of the Opera), Yael 'Ya Ya' Reich (Hadestown), Noah Marlowe The Book Of Mormon) Kathy Voytko (The Music Man) and Rising Stars Reid Burton & Caroline Geringer.

After making history as the first black woman to play Christine Daaé in the Phantom of the Opera on Broadway, Emilie Kouatchou sat down with Sheinelle Jones on The TODAY Show to discuss her groundbreaking debut. Jones also sat down with casting associate Joseph Hayes to discuss the importance of diversity and representation on Broadway.

The spotlight will be turned on swings, standbys and understudies. Cast members from several shows will perform as well as share stories of their experiences swinging and understudying. Scheduled to perform are Holly Ann Butler (Come from Away, Diana), Mateo Lizcano (Dear Evan Hansen), Lindsay Roberts Greene (Phantom of the Opera), Josh Daniels (Little Shop of Horrors), Yael ‘Ya Ya’ Reich (Hadestown) and Kathy Voytko ( The Music Man). The evening will also feature performances by up and comers Reid Burton from Rochester, New York  and Caroline Geringer from St. Louis. 

Just last night, The Phantom of the Opera celebrated its 34th anniversary! Emilie Kouatchou took over the role of Christine Daae beginning at last night's performance. She is the first Black actor to play the role on Broadway. Following the performance, the current Phantom, Ben Crawford, gave a speech honoring the show.

Andrew Lloyd Webber’s THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA will celebrate its unprecedented 34th Anniversary on Broadway tomorrow night, Wednesday, January 26 at 7PM at The Majestic Theatre.
