The Broadway Dreams Foundation will present their Third Annual New York Benefit Performance at the Florence Gould Hall (55 East 59th Street) on Monday, November 21, 2011 at 7:30 pm. The special evening, which only happens once a year in NYC, will feature performances that combine Broadway favorites with BDF students from cities across the country. The Summer Musicale series concludes on a high note with Lights Up On Broadway on August 11-21. Keith Baker and the BRT Band are joined by BRT veterans Kim Carson, Niffer Clarke, David Edwards, John Smitherman, Keith Spencer, and Lindsay Roberts performing hits from such favorite musicals as The Producers, The Music Man, Showboat and more.
For awhile now, we have been receiving press materials and hearing about The Broadway Dreams Foundation (BDF), but never witnessed the group first-hand. Well, that all changed this past Saturday night, in Philadelphia, when we decided to go to the Kimmel Center and see the 2011 Summer-Intensive weekend showcase, this year titled TRUE COLORS. I can honestly say that our jaws dropped. Directed and hosted by the newest addition to their impressive faculty line-up, Richard Jay-Alexander, the evening was like watching a skillfull PLAYLIST of Broadway 'gold' and 'showstoppers.' Two ACTS worth!

The Fred Ebb Foundation (Mitchell Bernard, Trustee) in association with the York Theatre (James Morgan, Artistic Director) is pleased to present an invitation-only showcase presentation entitled An Afternoon with Doug Cohen featuring the words and music of the 2010 Fred Ebb Award Winner. Featured in the presentation will be Heidi Blickenstaff, Bradley Dean, Tovah Feldshuh, Jackie Hoffman, Lauren Kennedy, Jeff McCarthy, Lindsay Roberts, Lance Rubin, Howie Michael Smith and Barbara Walsh.

The Fulton Theatre has announced the casting for its upcoming production of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, the popular musical by Stephen Sondheim, which will be directed and choreographed by the Fulton's Artistic Director, Marc Robin with music direction by Ray Fellman.
