THE MEETING* hosted by Justin Sayre, the acclaimed comedy/variety show, will return to JOE'S PUB at The Public Theater on Sunday, September 27 at 9:30 PM to open the Fall 2015 Season. The September 2015 show will feature a celebration of Whitney Houston, with special guests Darius de Haas, Natalie Joy Johnson, Jaime Cepero, Inyang Bassey and others to be announced. Tracy Stark serves as the show's Music Director.

Jim Caruso's Broadway at Birdland concert series had all the traffic Monday night as Klea Blackhurst brought her hit concert, 'Everything the Traffic Will Allow' to the Birdland stage.This is Blackhurst's loving tribute to the songs made famous by the quintessential stage personality Ethel Merman. Not an impersonator and not an impressionist, Blackhurst offered a paean to the great Broadway legend that serves as a potent and happy reminder of Merman's sheer, undeniable importance to both the history of twentieth century entertainment and the iconic composers like Cole Porter, Irving Berlin, George Gershwin and Jerry Herman, who wrote songs just for her.

On Monday, July 27, the Broadway at Birdland concert series was proud to present the return of pianist/singer Steve Ross in "Steve Ross on Broadway." Steve's very special guest star was Tony winner Liliane Montevecchi. Jesse Bielenberg rounded out the sublime music on bass. The Broadway at Birdland concert series was proud to present members from the Broadway cast of The Phantom of the Opera, who celebrated the songs written by their composer, Andrew Lloyd Webber, in concert on Sunday, July 12 at 6pm.  This sold-out smash hit was the first in a series of many tribute concerts by the cast of the record-breaking musical, and will benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

The Broadway at Birdland concert series was once again proud to present singer Natalie Douglas in 'Hello Dolly...The Music of Dolly Parton,' on Monday, July 6.  This evening, of course, was a celebration of the beloved singer, actor, and songwriter and a continuation of Natalie's successful residency at Birdland.

The Broadway at Birdland series was proud to present actor/singer Erich Bergen, who made a triumphant return to the Birdland stage on Sunday and Monday, June 21 and 22. Erich last played the historic music room in December for two sold out performances. The musical director was Michael Orland, of 'American Idol' fame. Scroll down for photos!

The Broadway at Birdland Concert Series presented a reading of Stephen Cole and David Evans' musical fable, 'Merman's Apprentice' on Monday, June 15. Directed by Stephen Cole and Amy Burgess, the cast featured PJ Benjamin, Austin Colby, Eddie Korbich, Brian Charles Rooney, Klea Blackhurst, Bill Nolte, Desi Oakley, Sarah Sesler, Anita Gillette, Elizabeth Teeter and F. The Broadway at Birdland concert series was proud to present singer Nicolas King in concert on Sunday, June 14. Nicolas performed 'Shakin' the Blues Away!' - a collection of 'feel good' songs from the worlds of Jazz, Pop and Broadway.
