Birdland welcomed back acclaimed vocalist Wendy Moten on Monday night for her annual concert appearance. Joined by Andy Ezra, Paul Livant, Graham Hawthorne, and David Santos, Moten performed a wide-ranging program that included “Ain’t No Way,” “Walk on By,” and “Alfie.” Check out photos of the show!

Vaudevillian troubadour Bryce Edwards (of Birdland’s critically acclaimed Frivolity Hour) and New York’s premiere “antimodernist” cornetist Mike Davis (of The New Wonders) came together on Monday at Birdland with “Hot Combination.'

Frankie Moreno performed his first New York City club date at Birdland on Monday night, joined by his brother on bass and his son Giovanni on drums. Moreno, who set the 2024 world record for most number one singles with 118, has released 147 singles to date, all of which reached the Top Ten on the iTunes charts. Adrian Galante celebrated the release of his debut album 'Introducing Adrian Galante' with a night of musical magic at Birdland Jazz Club. The show featured Galante on clarinet (and 2 piano features), with a trio of veteran NYC musicians: Alan Broadbent (piano), Jay Leonhart (bass), & Obed Calvaire (drums). Album available on the Zoho Music Label.

On Monday night, Birdland was buzzing as Gabrielle Stravelli and Billy Stritch took to the stage with their brand-new show, Close To You. Joined by Pat O’Leary on bass and Mark McLean on drums, the dynamic duo delivered a genre-spanning set that moved effortlessly through jazz, pop, Brazilian rhythms, rock-n-roll, country, and R&B.
