Featuring beautifully arranged songs from Keith Ferguson and Bruce Greer's musical adaptation performed by a cast of live singers along with multimedia and narration from the original novella, this is the perfect evening out during the holiday season.

Let me start with a question, if you shall indulge me for a moment. What happens when one of the greatest storytelling musicians of modern times, and the master of horror/suspense and the downright weird, decides to form a partnership? What happens when you take a story, stretch the lore, change the pace, add in some elements of mystery, love, deception, intrigue, and perhaps murder? What then happens when you set the story to a gritty, no-holds-barred, blues/folk score that shakes you to the very being of your core?

Spooky season has arrived at the Straz Center with Ghost Brothers of Darkland County, the southern gothic supernatural musical by literary icon Stephen King and rock legend John Mellencamp.  Write Act Repertory has announced its inaugural Hot Summer Nights - The Musicals (2024), a collection of 4 World Premiere original one act plays written by various Write Act Repertory writers for a limited run of performances.

Miracle on 34th Street is an American Christmas comedic/drama from 1947 that was produced by 20th century Fox. Based on the story by by Valentine Davies, the film was directed by George Seaton and features Maureen O’Hara, John Payne, Natalie Wood, and Edmund Gwenn. Winning three Academy Awards, Miracle on 34th Street takes place between Thanksgiving and Christmas Day, and the events that transpire when a Department store Santa Claus claims to be the real Santa.

Miracle on 34th Street: A Live Musical Radio Play is a captivating journey back in time, immersing the audience in the ambiance of a bygone era. The production ingeniously unfolds as a live radio broadcast, with a skilled ensemble and a meticulous foley artist weaving each sound effect into the intricate auditory tapestry.

It's 1947, and a group of America's best and brightest entertainers have joined forces to present a radio production of the beloved holiday classic, Miracle on 34th Street. This classic story is presented in a radio format before a live studio audience and stars the voice talents of Larry Alexander, Jonathan Harrison, Joe D. Lauck, Michael Raabe, Julia Rifino, Hillary Scales-Lewis and Mya Simpkins (freeFall debut).

Write Act Repertory will present the world premiere of Not/Now, written by Darrin Yalacki and directed by Amanda Blake Davis (Folk Wandering, Clown Bar), produced with Anne Mesa and John Lant.

Write Act Repertory presents a new drama by Willard Manus, THE ATHEIST MOTHER.  The play is based on the fictionalized life of Madelyn Murray O'Hair, the woman who led the fight to ban prayer in America's public schools.  

Write Act Repertory Co. will present the world premiere of THE FUNNY MAN, a solo play about America's greatest comic writer, S.J. Perelman,  June 19 – July 17, 2022, at the Brickhouse Theatre in N. Hollywood.  Performances are Sat. nights at 8pm, Sunday matinees at 1.30 pm.
