Review: CATCH ME IF YOU CAN at Murry's Dinner Playhouse in Little Rock

Bring your appetite and your funny bone, because Murry’s Dinner Playhouse in Little Rock is serving up a suspenseful and hilarious treat with Catch Me If You Can by Jack Weinstock and Willie Gilbert, directed by Roger M. Eaves and running through October 4. Not to be confused with the musical or the Spielberg film, this version is a mid-20th-century comedy-mystery adapted from Robert Thomas’s French play Trap for a Lonely Man. From start to finish, you will laugh and laugh at the witty banter, the quirky characters, and the absurd situations that pile up, all while the mystery keeps you on edge.

Review: CATCH ME IF YOU CAN at New Theatre & Restaurant

San Francisco Marketing Consultant Daniel Corbin (Ross Hellwig) has sneaked away for a holiday weekend with his new bride. Following a honeymoon spat, Bride Elizabeth mysteriously vanishes. Who done it? And what did they do?

Review: Hale Centre Theatre's CATCH ME IF YOU CAN Thriller is Enthrallingly Enigmatic

CATCH ME IF YOU CAN, currently playing on Hale Centre Theatre’s Jewel Box Stage, is a straight play murder mystery thriller (not the recent Broadway musical) that skillfully weaves the tale of a deception just as clever as but much more sinister than anything Frank Abagnale, Jr. employed. This is a top-drawer production of an enthrallingly enigmatic play that happily hasn’t been oversaturated in the public consciousness. It’s the perfect activity for fall’s arrival.

BWW Review: CATCH ME IF YOU CAN, Richmond Theatre

Not to be confused with the 2002 film of the same name, Catch Me If You Can is a small ensemble thriller that debuted on Broadway in 1965. Based on a French play by Robert Thomas, this American version, written by Jack Weinstock and Willie Gilbert, is a potentially entertaining evening, but fails to captivate and excite.
