Broadway is about to get turned Upside Down according to a new Equity casting notice seeking actors and stage managers for a Broadway transfer of Stranger Things: The First Shadow, the West End stage show based on the popular Netflix series.

Louis McCartney, the actor who plays Henry Creel in the stage production, recently talked about the possiblity of Stranger Things: The First Shadow coming to Broadway in 2025.

Stranger Things: The First Shadow will be the first instalment in a trilogy. Stranger Things: The First Shadow is currently playing in London at The Phoenix Theatre.

The first-ever live stage adaptation of Suzanne Collins’ internationally acclaimed novel “The Hunger Games” and Lionsgate’s worldwide box office phenomenon THE HUNGER GAMES will make its debut in London in Autumn 2024.

While the teaser does not give away any specific plot details, it showcases flashbacks from the series before displaying an empty theatre with the words: 'The beginning of the Stranger Things story might hold the key to what comes next.' This highly innovative multi-media production will open at Stone Nest, Shaftesbury Avenue to previews on Monday 20 September with press night on Wednesday 22 September and will run until Saturday 9 October 2021.

Tall Stories, the internationally recognised storytelling theatre company, is partnering with Islington Council to transform a currently unused section of Central Library into a storytelling hub for the company. The project will create an administrative base for the company, alongside a large studio space suitable for rehearsals and performances for an audience of up to 80. Tall Stories, a registered charity, will be contributing to the capital costs of the project, and will be renting the space from the library as part of the partnership.
