Theatre By The Sea will open its 93rd summer season with LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, directed by Bob Richard and Diane Laurenson, at Bill Hanney's Wakefield, RI venue.

Theatre By The Sea wrapped up its 92nd season with the hip-swaying, leg-lunging Elvis bio-musical Heartbreak Hotel that had the near sell-out crowd dancing and strutting down their own memory lane of the King of Rock & Roll, Elvis Presley.

 In celebration of 92 years of Theatre By The Sea, owner and producer Bill Hanney is proud to present Heartbreak Hotel, the stage musical which celebrates the life and music of Elvis Presley. Heartbreak Hotel will be presented from August 20 – September 14, 2025.

Theatre By The Sea will continue its 92nd season with the high-energy Broadway hit Hairspray, running from July 23 through August 16, 2025. The production marks the return of the beloved musical to the Wakefield stage, where it was last seen in 2011.

Boston has a long history with “A Christmas Carol.” Victorian-era author Charles Dickens gave his first American reading of the holiday classic at Tremont Temple in December 1867 while he was living just a block away at the Parker House.

Multi award-winning pianist, composer, music director, filmmaker and entrepreneur Dr. Judith Lynn Stillman (r.) - an Artist in Residence at Rhode Island College (RIC) in Providence - is the force behind the inaugural 'ArtsBiz,' a free-to-the-public, star-studded event that offers a behind-the-scenes look at the business of the performing arts.
