The Performing Arts Center, Purchase College (The PAC) announces the 2019-2020 Season

Troubadour Theatres and Stanhope, Mitsui Fudosan and AIMCo today announce the inaugural summer season at Troubadour White City Theatre at White City Place, the former BBC Media Village in west London. The new theatre will join a thriving new neighbourhood at White City Place, neighbouring other destinations such as Soho House and Westfield Shopping Centre.

One of the most iconic characters in children's literature will wiggle his way to London this Summer in celebration of a major birthday. The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show will play a limited 4-week run at Troubadour White City Theatre from Wednesday 7 August to Sunday 1 September, to mark the 50th Anniversary of Eric Carle's beloved book.

The global sensation The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show, created by Jonathan Rockefeller, has performed over 2,000 shows worldwide including sold out shows in Australia, New York, United Kingdom, Dubai, New Zealand, Canada, Belgium, Luxemburg, Netherlands. Now presented by THE MAGIK THEATRE, it will play at the Charline McCombs Empire Theatre (226 N. St. Mary's St.) in San Antonio, TX for a special engagement on August 9 - 17, 2019. The Center for the Arts at George Mason University announced today the 2019/2020 season of Great Performances at Mason, its annual series featuring leading national and international artists in the disciplines of classical music, opera, jazz, ballet, modern dance, theater, and global music and dance. The Center also announced the return of the Family Series, offering its second season of affordable programming for young audiences.

"The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show" is the perfect show to introduce young children to theatre. From the entrance of the first puppet, the kids never ceased to be enthralled through the entire 45 minute tale, which follows a script directly adapted by Jonathan Rockefeller from Eric Carle's definitive books. 

ZACH Theatre, Central Texas' premier professional theatre, announces six Mainstage productions along with the Family Series and holiday add-ons as part of the 2019-20 season. The Mainstage Season includes: Steven Dietz's new work Dracula: Mina's Quest, a 21st century look at the Bram Stoker classic; A Night with Janis Joplin returns celebrating the legendary rock goddess;  Every Brilliant Thing, Duncan Macmillan and Jonny Donahoe's touching and charming play; the timely and probing new work Roe by Lisa Loomer; the new immersive musical Reunion '85; and the quintessential family musical, Rodgers and Hammerstein's, The Sound of Music.

The New Jersey Symphony Orchestra presents great stories told through music in "The Sound of Stories: Harry Potter & More" family concerts on May 11 at NJPAC in Newark.

It's The Very Hungry Caterpillar's 50th birthday this year and Childsplay Theatre is celebrating with a puppet show for the ages! The 42-year-old theatre company for young audiences will use 75 puppets to transform four of Eric Carle's iconic stories to life on stage at The Herberger Theater Center March 17 through April 21, including Brown Bear, Brown Bear, 10 Little Rubber Ducks, The Very Lonely Fire Fly and, of course, The Very Hungry Caterpillar.

Your favorite childrens' book characters come to life on the WYO Stage Thursday, February 21 at 6pm with the critically acclaimed production of The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show created by Jonathan Rockefeller.  The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show features a menagerie of 75 lovable puppets and faithfully adapts four stories by author/illustrator Eric Carle: Brown Bear, Brown Bear, 10 Little Rubber Ducks, The Very Lonely Firefly and of course, the star of the show - The Very Hungry Caterpillar. 

Eric Carle's beloved creatures crawl from the page to center stage. Families can see The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show featuring Brown Bear, Brown Bear on Saturday, January 26 at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. in the Cullen Theater at the Wortham Center. Colorful and kinetic, this adaptation captures all the charm of Carle's original tales and illustrations, while conveying simple messages about the value of creativity, belonging, and growth.

One of the most iconic children's books of all time, The Very Hungry Caterpillar emerges off the page and onto the stage in a masterful theatrical experience at Arts Centre Melbourne from 28 November - 2 December as part of a national tour. Audiences are invited to journey through Eric Carle's incredible stories as they come to life on stage in this colourful and captivating show created by Jonathan Rockefeller.

The Rainbow Fish comes to Emelin Theatre on December 9.
