Eric Carle's story "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" has delighted generations of readers and sold more than 43 million copies worldwide since 1969. Now Eric Carle's creations "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" and other favorite characters are making their way from the page to the stage in a one-of-a-kind, live production. Generously sponsored by Amica Insurance, The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show comes to The Hanover Theatre and Conservatory for the Performing Arts on Thursday, April 4, with limited tickets available for a 10 am student matinee and a 6 pm open to the public. Tickets are on sale now to members and go on sale to the general public on Tuesday, October 9 at 10 am.
MAGIK AT THE EMPIRE SERIES 2018-19 Series Announced

The Magik Theatre will present three shows at the Charline McCombs Empire Theatre (226 N. St. Mary's St.) in its 2018-2019 Season. The Magik Theatre has produced shows at the venue since spring 2015, and historically has presented two shows a year, one during the holidays and one in the summer months. This year, the theatre expands its programming to include a Spring Break performance. Tickets for all shows go on sale Friday, September 7 at 10AM.

Illustrations By Lulu Delacre to Be Presented in Sonia Sotomayor's Life Story At Zimmerli This Fall

In conjunction with U. S. Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor's first memoir for young people, the Zimmerli Art Museum at Rutgers is pleased to announce the opening of The Art of Turning Pages: Illustrations by Lulu Delacre for Sonia Sotomayor's Life Story on September 15. Justice Sotomayor shares her inspiring story about growing up and her deep love of reading in Turning Pages: My Life Story, which will be published by Philomel Books on September 4, along with a Spanish version, Pasando paginas: La historia de mi vida. The exhibition features nearly 30 objects on loan from award-winning children's author and illustrator Lulu Delacre, including her oil and collage art, preparatory drawings, and research material, on public view for the first time. Bilingual labels, in English and Spanish, accompany the works. Ms. Delacre will speak at Art After Hours: First Tuesdays on October 2.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, two previously announced Kids 'N Family performances have been cancelled. The Amazing Max (FEB 10, 2018) and The Very Hungry Caterpillar and Other Eric Carle Favorites (MAR 16, 2018) will not be re-scheduled.
