CTYP's Artistic Director Carole Higgins is thrilled to announce an exciting new 2018/2019 season of theatre for young people and families on Granville Island.

The Fox Cities Performing Arts Center announced the 2018-19 Bemis Company Education Series tonight to a group of educators at the annual Educator Appreciation Event. Educators were able to preview the 2018-19 education programs, schedule experiences and network with one another as they discussed how the arts integrate into their classroom.

The global sensation, The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show, created by Jonathan Rockefeller, has performed over 1000 shows worldwide and is currently playing in New York City's DR2 Theatre and Oregon's Children's Theatre.

The global sensation, The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show, created by Jonathan Rockefeller, recently celebrated its 1000th show worldwide. Due to overwhelming demand, the producers of the critically acclaimed family show will extend its run at the DR2 Theatre (103 E 15 Street) through May 20, 2018. The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show, began its run in Union Square on September 28, 2017 and was originally set to close February 4.

Eric Carle's iconic creatures crawl from page to stage with the help of a marvelous menagerie of 75 magical puppets.  Colorful and kinetic, this adaptation captures all the charm of Carle's original tales and illustrations, while conveying simple messages about the value of creativity, belonging, and growth.

Under the direction of Douglass Burks, founding member and Master Puppeteer with Kathy Burks Theatre of Puppetry Arts, four talented actors bring to life characters previously admired only as Carle's iconic collage and watercolor illustrations.

Originally set to close on February 4, 2018 the hit family show, The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show, will extend its run through April 8, 2018 due to popular demand. Created by Jonathan Rockefeller, The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show was nominated for a Drama Desk and Off-Broadway Alliance Award and will continue to perform at Union Square's DR2 Theatre (103 East 15 Street). Two River Theater, under the leadership of Artistic Director John Dias and Managing Director Michael Hurst, continues its season of Theater for Young Audience productions with the world premiere of The Rainbow Fish, for audiences age 3 and up.
