The Make-Up Artists & Hair Stylists Guild (IATSE Local 706) announced winners of its 9th Annual Make-Up Artists & Hair Stylists Awards, presented by HASK Beauty, in 23 categories of film, television, commercials and live theater. The gala was held on Saturday night, February 19, 2022, before a live audience at The Beverly Hilton Hotel. It was also livestreamed to an audience of millions worldwide.  

Produced and directed by Erick Weiss and his Honeysweet Creative team, the 9th Annual Make-Up Artists & Hair Stylists Guild (MUAHS) awards, presented by HASK® Beauty, will take place LIVE on February 19, 2022, at The Beverly Hilton Hotel, as well as be streamed to thousands worldwide on YouTube and Vimeo. The MUAHS awards gala, honoring outstanding achievements of both make-up artists and hair stylists in motion pictures, television, commercials and live theater, is co-produced by Honeysweet Creative and IngleDodd Media. 

Actress and comedian Melissa Peterman, known for portraying 'Barbra Jean' on the television series “Reba” and currently on CBS #1 Comedy “Young Sheldon” as 'Brenda Sparks,' will host the 9th Annual Make-Up Artists & Hair Stylists Guild (MUAHS, IATSE Local 706) Awards, presented by HASK Beauty, bringing her humor and talent to the star-studded event.

Adam Shankman, producer of Hocus Pocus 2, has announced a Halloween release date for the highly-anticpated sequel. Bette Midler recently celebrated that the film had wrapped production. Midler will be joined by her previous co-stars Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy in the new film. Hannah Waddingham, Doug Jones, and more round out the cast.

In the highly-anticipated sequel, Bette Midler reunites with her co-stars Sarah Jessica Parker (“Sex and the City,” “Divorce”), and Kathy Najimy (“Sister Act,” “Younger”) as they return to their roles as Winifred, Sarah, and Mary, the delightfully wicked Sanderson sisters who bewitched audiences in the 1993 film “Hocus Pocus.”

The Chair Award will be presented by Actress Sonequa Martin-Green, Jones’ co-star on “Star Trek: Discovery.” The MUAHS awards gala, honoring outstanding achievements of both make-up artists and hair stylists in motion pictures, television, commercials and live theater. Jones was the Amphibian Man in Guillermo del Toros’s The Shape of Water.

Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kathy Najimy, and Doug Jones have been announced to return, along with Hannah Waddingham, Whitney Peak, Lilia Buckingham, and Belissa Escobedo rounding out the cast. The new film is currently in production in Rhode Island.

The highly anticipated sequel to Disney’s Halloween classic Hocus Pocus released a snippet to get audiences excited for what’s to come. The clip came with an announcement of the cast for the upcoming film. 

The virtual celebration, held during the week of Brazilian Folklore Day, reflects the spirit of Brazilian culture, where a mix of physical and mental strength ground movement, tradition adorns fresh foods and music serves as a rhythmic crossroads of Africa, Brazil, modern and Latin worlds.

“Sibley Scoles is a television host, enchanting actress, model and fashion icon who will bring her intoxicating personality and glamor to the red carpet. We are looking forward to her fun energy and interesting interviews and are thrilled that she is part of the MUAHS Awards Show this year,” said Julie Socash, President of IATSE Local 706.

The reimagined awards gala will be held virtually on Saturday, April 3, 2021, and is co-produced by IngleDodd Media and Honeysweet Creative.
