Freeform announced today that Bette Midler will join Kathy Najimy and Sarah Jessica Parker for the network's “Hocus Pocus 25th Anniversary Halloween Bash,” an all-star party in honor of the cult classic film's milestone anniversary. The two-hour special, filmed at the iconic Hollywood Forever Cemetery to celebrate the movie's status as a Halloween staple, will premiere on SATURDAY, OCT. 20 at 8:15-10:15 p.m. EDT/PDT, as part of Freeform's “31 Nights of Halloween” programming event.

During New York Comic-Con, STAR TREK: DISCOVERY executive producer Alex Kurtzman revealed that the highly anticipated second season of the series will launch Thursday, Jan. 17, 2019, exclusively on CBS All Access in the United States. During the panel with cast and executive producers at Madison Square Garden, the official season two New York Comic-Con trailer debuted, and fans were given a first look at STAR TREK: DISCOVERY's Spock, played by Ethan Peck; Number One, played by Rebecca Romijn; and Section 31's newest recruit, Philippa Georgiou, played by Michelle Yeoh.

Freeform announced today that it will air “Hocus Pocus 25th Anniversary Halloween Bash,” an all-star party in honor of the cult classic film's milestone anniversary. STAR TREK: SHORT TREKS to Premiere on CBS All Access

CBS All Access today announced that STAR TREK: SHORT TREKS, four stand-alone short stories, will begin rolling out on Thursday, Oct. 4, in anticipation of the early 2019 return of STAR TREK: DISCOVERY. Each short will run approximately 10-15 minutes and will be an opportunity for fans to dive deeper into key themes and characters that fit into STAR TREK: DISCOVERY and the expanding 'Star Trek' universe.

Kent Alterman, President of Comedy Central announced today that the Emmy® Award-winning Comedy Central series, Drunk History, has been renewed for a sixth season with sixteen episodes. Created for television by Derek Waters and Jeremy Konner, Drunk History is produced by Central Productions and executive produced by Waters and Konner, along with Gary Sanchez Productions' Will Ferrell, Adam McKay and Owen Burke. When he announced his retirement from the Senate last fall, Jeff Flake of Arizona become one of the strongest Republican critics of President Donald Trump. 'I rise today to say, 'Enough,' he told his colleagues, ripping the president of his party for policies and behavior he called 'dangerous to a democracy.' Last month, Flake delivered a second Senate floor speech likening Trump's words to those of 20th century Russian dictator Josef Stalin. As he leaves his Senate seat, he has pointedly declined to rule out challenging Trump by running for president himself.
