Middlebury Community Players will stage NUNSENSE at Town Hall Theater in Middlebury, VT, running April 24 through May 3.

Theatre in the Park will present NUNSENSE at the Black Box Theatre at the Johnson County Arts and Heritage Center. Performances will run this spring in the indoor theatre space.

TADA Productions will present MESHUGGAH-NUNS, the latest installment in the Nunsense series, starting February 12 at The TADA Theatre in Lincoln, Nebraska. The musical comedy features the Little Sisters of Hoboken in a high-seas adventure filled with humor and unexpected performances.

From February 21 to March 2, Southwestern University’ Sarofim School of Fine Arts theater program presented NUNSENSE: THE MUSICAL by Dan Goggin on their Jesse H. and Mary Gibbs Jones stage. Modeled after a line of greeting cards featuring a nun offering tart quips with a clerical slant, NUNSENSE premiered in 1985 at the Off-Broadway Cherry Lane Theatre and is a heartwarming and hilarious musical comedy set in a convent where a group of five nuns is determined to raise enough money to bury their fellow sisters who tragically died after a cooking accident.

Nunsense delivers two hours of nonstop laughter as the Little Sisters of Hoboken stage a riotous variety show to fund burials after a convent mishap. Irreverent, charming, and a jolly good time! #ATXTheatre

What do you call a nun who can sing? A sister act!  And what do you call four nuns and a monk who sing and dance during Christmas? “Nuncrackers!” now playing weekends at Desert Theatreworks through December 29.

Heating up the boards at New Theatre Restaurant now through February 2, 2025 is a new production of a reliable Off-Broadway Musical Review called NUNSENSE featuring a very funny quintet of comedy Sisters from the “Little Sisters of Olathe.”

Musicals are born from many sources including books, movies, plays and comic strips.  None, however, has a more intriguing past than NUNSENSE, which is now on stage at Kent State’s Porthouse Theatre, on the grounds of the Blossom Center. 

What did our critic think of NUNSENSE at 29 Theatre?

Earlier this season, Theatre 29 announced the desert debut of the Off-Broadway musical “Disenchanted” as part of their 2023-24 season. Due to unforeseen casting difficulties, they were not able to continue that project. Director Charles Harvey was able to field a quick replacement show for the same timeframe, the hugely popular ecumenical musical, “Nunsense”.

Tainted food, nuns in freezers, and lots of laughs are in store when The MTM Players brings the hilarious musical comedy 'Nunsense' to the Kelsey Theatre stage, April 19 to May 5, on Mercer County Community College's (MCCC) West Windsor Campus.

Nunsense is headed to the Kelsey Theatre next month! Performances run April 19th - May 5th, 2024.
