Katy J Pearson has today shared 'Float', the latest track from her forthcoming new album, Sound of the Morning. This follows previous tracks, the 6Music A-listed 'Talk Over Town' , 'Alligator' and ‘'Game Of Cards.' 'Float' features black midi’s Morgan Simpson on drums and was co-written with Oliver Wilde, frontman of cult band Pet Shimmers.

Foals share the new song ‘Crest of the Wave’ ahead of this Friday’s release of their 7th studio album, Life Is Yours. The band – Yannis Philippakis, Jack Bevan and Jimmy Smith – have released a succession of euphoric singles so far, including “Wake Me Up” to “2001.” The band yesterday announced their North American tour.

“2am” is the second track to preview the album following “Wake Me Up”. “2am” was produced by John Hill (Portugal The Man, Florence + The Machine, Cage The Elephant ) and Dan Carey (Tame Impala, Fontaines D.C.), and recorded during sessions at Real World Studios, Bath and Carey’s studio in south London. Having previously shared “Billy Goodbye,” the other new track from the compilation, “Curious” was also produced by Alex Kapranos, Julian Corrie and Stuart Price (Dua Lipa, Madonna, Pet Shop Boys) and is accompanied by a video directed by Andy Knowles. Watch the new music video now!

News of the album comes with the release of its first single, “Jackie Down The Line” - replete with a video directed by Hugh Mulhern - as well as the band’s first North American tour dates since 2019. The band will give “Jackie Down The Line” its live performance debut on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday January 12th.
