In its 21st year, ABC Entertainment Talent and Casting is excited to present emerging talent from coast to coast with 2022’s Disney Television Discovers: Talent Showcase. As a part of their continued commitment to creating opportunities for rising artists to be discovered, nurtured and celebrated.

The film follows struggling American siblings Alice (Bell) and Paul (Platt), who reluctantly agree to attend the wedding of their estranged, wealthy half-sister (Cynthia Addai-Robinson) in the English countryside alondside their mother, Donna (Allison Janney). Ben Platt and Kristen Bell are teaming up in the new Prime Video original film, The People We Hate At the Wedding. ABC Talent and Casting will present the 2019 ABC Discovers: Los Angeles Talent Showcase on WEDNESDAY, OCT. 16, at the El Portal Theatre for the Performing Arts in North Hollywood, California. Part of Walt Disney Television's ongoing commitment to creating opportunities for undiscovered talent, the showcase features selected participants performing in a one-night showcase for casting directors, talent agents, managers and other industry professionals. In addition, the selected showcase actors are awarded a one-year mentorship with executives from the ABC Casting Department. As part of the mentorship, the showcase actors will be offered on-camera workshops specifically for them to further hone their craft and auditioning skills. Talent will also have access to various ABC executives.

Indie Rights, 5100 Films, 103rd Street Productions, Kampfire Films, Red Spear Productions and Kristen Moser are thrilled to announce the theatrical release of Writer/Director Alex Goldberg's Award-winning feature film CLOSURE. The film will play at Arena Cinelounge (6464 Sunset Blvd. Hollywood, CA 90028) Friday, October 18 at 8:15 pm through Thursday, October 24th at 6:00pm. Additionally, later this month Indie Rights will be debuting CLOSURE at the American Film Market.

Today, BET Networks announced the production of a new original movie 'SACRIFICE' starring Paula Patton ('Hitch,' 'Precious'). 'SACRIFICE' takes place in Los Angeles following Daniella Hernandez, played by Patton, a highly sought after entertainment lawyer. The legal thriller tracks Daniella as she navigates the nefarious lives of her rich and famous clients. Daniella has a reputation that proves problematic to LA Law enforcement, forcing her to be at odds with her sorority sister turned nemesis District Attorney Beverly Rucker. In an attempt to protect her often unscrupulous clients, Daniella enlists the services of her resourceful assistant and a young ex-hacker and tech genius. 'SACRIFICE' is executive produced, written, and directed by Chris Stokes. Marques Houston also serves as the film's co-executive producer for Footage Films. Principal photography for 'SACRIFICE' took place in New Orleans. 'SACRIFICE' will premiere on BET's new streaming service BET+ in 2020.

Starz, a Lionsgate company (NYSE: LGF.A, LGF.B), today announced that the premiere event for the sixth season of the hit STARZ Original series 'Power' will be held at The World's Most Famous Arena, Madison Square Garden, on Tuesday, August 20, 2019. The all-new super-sized, 15-episode season of 'Power' will debut on Sunday, August 25, 2019 at 8:00 PM ET/PT on STARZ and will be available on the STARZ app and STARZ ON DEMAND starting at 12:01 AM on that day.

5100 Films, 103rd Street Productions, Kampfire Films, Red Spear Productions and Writer/Director Alex Goldberg (Off Broadway's It Is Done) are pleased to announce the World Premiere of Goldberg's CLOSURE at the D.C.
