Public Works’ musical production of AS YOU LIKE IT has returned to Central Park, bringing together its diverse ensemble of both professional actors and community members from across New York. Get a first look at footage from the production here!

SERIALS is a raucous night of serialized plays featuring The Fled's resident actors and some of NYC's hottest rising playwrights and directors. Teams perform original short episodic plays, while the audience votes for its favorites to return with a new installment. Cycle 3 of SERIALS performances will be in The Siggy at The Flea Theater on September 8-10, and September 15-17 at 9:00 pm. Tickets are available for $17 through Eventbrite. SERIALS will return for the next installment in October.

AS YOU LIKE IT was adapted by Public Theater Artist-in-Residence Shaina Taub and Director of Public Works Laurie Woolery, with music and lyrics by Shaina Taub. The production began performances on Wednesday, August 10 and will run through Sunday, September 11, with an official press opening on Tuesday, August 30. See photos here!

New York Festival of Song (NYFOS), led by Artistic Director Steven Blier, opens its 2022-23 Mainstage Series with HEROES on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at 8:00pm at Merkin Hall, co-presented by Kaufman Music Center.

Denver Arts & Venues will present a community screening of Netflix original, “Sisters on Track,” followed by a panel discussion about the value of mentorship for young women at McNichols Civic Center Building Sept. 17, 1 p.m.

The cast includes Jeremy Benton (42nd Street, Cagney at The York), Darien Crago (Holiday Inn, Irving Berlin's White Christmas), Kaitlyn Davidson (Cinderella, Bright Star), Danny Gardner (Flying Over Sunset, The Decline and Fall of the Entire World… at The York), and Melinda Porto (Off Broadway debut). Understudies are Corinne Munsch (A Chorus Line at Signature, Bullets Over Broadway on tour) and Sean Quinn (Irving Berlin's White Christmas, Cinderella).

Terre Blair Hamlisch joined the cast of The Nutty Professor on stage Saturday, August 6 at Ogunquit Playhouse to pay tribute to her late husband, Marvin Hamlisch, on the 10th anniversary of his passing. The Nutty Professor was the last stage musical that Marvin Hamlisch completed before the composer died.

SERIALS was originally created by Dominic Spillane and Stephen Stout and further developed by members of The Flea Theater's former resident artist companies.

The Public Theater will begin previews for the Free Shakespeare in the Park production of Public Works’ AS YOU LIKE IT on Wednesday, August 10. Continuing the 60th Anniversary Season at The Delacorte Theater, Public Works’ AS YOU LIKE IT will run through Sunday, September 11, with an official press opening on Tuesday, August 30.

The Nutty Professor is running through Saturday, August 6 at Ogunquit Playhouse. The musical adaptation of the beloved 1963 Jerry Lewis film comedy features the final score from Pulitzer Prize, Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony winner Marvin Hamlisch. Get a first look at footage from the production here!
