Yasmina Reza’s Award-winning comedy ART has started its Australian tour in Sydney.

Wildly surprising and deliciously savage, Yasmina Reza's machete-edged 2006 dark comedy GOD OF CARNAGE—here directed by Marco Barricelli and continues performances at OC's South Coast Repertory through March 21, 2026—has to be one of the most ferocious dissections of modern-day performative civility ever to grace the stage—an 80-minute, intermission-less pressure cooker that gleefully burns away the polite veneer of bourgeois adulthood to reveal the petulant, immature children actually lurking just beneath. Boosted by a foursome of terrific actors, the play endures as entertainingly voyeuristic in its unsettling relatability. SCR's outstanding production is a brilliantly observed theatrical skirmish—equal parts comedy of manners and psychological boxing match with no clear winners or losers.

Theatrical Outfit’s world premier BLEEDING HEARTS written by Atlanta playwright Steve Yockey and directed by Sean Daniels starts with ferocious comedic momentum that feels equal parts Oscar Wilde on SNL, the 2014 Adult Swim cult TOO MANY COOKS, and a virtul signalers wrestling match.

The Broadway production of ART will auction four of the white canvases used within the show after they have been defaced in the performance, and proceeds will be donated to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

On Saturday, October 11th, I had the pleasure of seeing a hilarious comedy GOD OF CARNAGE as put on by the Castle Craig Players at the Almira F. Stephan Memorial Playhouse in Meriden, CT. The show is written by Yasmina Reza, translated by Christopher Hampton, and directed by Catherine Pelkey. Catherine Pelkey helps bring out the best in this stellar cast that features Ryan Hemstock, Kaumudi Walokar, Matt Griffiths and Casandra Lim. With four performers of such a high level of talent, four is all you need! They gel excellently with each other, showing incredible stage chemistry and stage presence.

Though the recent Nicole Scherzinger-led revival of Sunset Boulevard has concluded its run on Broadway, Glenn Close remains eager to bring her version of the character back to life on the big screen. Read as she shares how the film would open.
