In honor of World AIDS Day – tomorrow, Tuesday, December 1, Abingdon Theatre Company will be a co-producer for the virtual revival of “Elegies for Angels, Punks and Raging Queens,” to benefit BC/EFA.

More Broadway, television and film stars have been added to the celebrated series of songs and monologues Elegies for Angels, Punks and Raging Queens, set to stream on World AIDS Day - Tuesday, December 1, 2020. The virtual production, featuring 51 performers, will benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

Abingdon Theatre Company has announced a 'Fall Festival of Short Plays,' a two-week virtual festival shedding light on stories by people of color. Submission period begins Monday, July 13, 2020 and will continue through Monday, August 17, 2020. The selection of six new short plays will be announced Monday, September 28, 2020.

Abingdon Theatre Company will present a reading of Talk to Me, a new musical with book and lyrics by Charlie Sohne, music by Tim Rosser, music direction by Paul Staroba and direction by Joe Barros. Jacqueline Novak: Get On Your Knees, written by and starring Jacqueline Novak, has extended its limited run to October 6th, due to overwhelming ticket sales and rave reviews. This will be the final extension and the show must close on that date. The show, 'a standup comedy set that inclines towards theater (New York Times),' plays the Lucille Lortel Theatre (121 Christopher Street, between Hudson and Bleecker Streets), having transferred from the Cherry Lane Theatre, where the whole run sold out.
