Parson's Nose Theater Presents ESSEX CORNERS By Resident Playwright Hoyt Hilsman

Parson's Nose Theater will present a reading Essex Corners, a new play by resident playwright Hoyt Hilsman. Directed by Artistic Director Lance Davis, Essex Corners is an exploration of the past century of American life, seen from the perspective of several generations of the Beal family in a small New England town.

The Green Room 42 kicked off their 2020 of 'GR42 Sings' with a bang! In their introductory season they tackled composers such as Rodgers & Hammerstein, Andrew Lippa, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Alan Menken and Andrew Lloyd Webber, as well as celebrating Disney Villains and singing through In the Heights. They started off their 2nd season by singing through the music that has been a staple of musical theatre: The Music of Boublil & Schönberg. “GR42 Sings Boublil & Schönberg” was a night where we will fall back in love with the classics from Les Miserables and Miss Saigon, as well as listen to some lesser known work such as The Pirate Queen and Martin Guerre.

Ako, Kathleen Chalfant & More To Take Part In 9th Annual SHAKESPEARE'S BIRTHDAY SONNET SLAM

The 9th Annual Shakespeare's Birthday Sonnet Slam will be held Friday, April 26th from 1pm-4pm at the 9th floor Lounge at the Riverside Church Campus in the Morningside Heights neighborhood of Manhattan. The Sonnet Slam features 154 readers of all ages and abilities performing all 154 of Shakespeare's Sonnets in numerical order. The event is free to the public and is approximately 3 hours long.
