Stars in the House continues today (2pm) with Plays In The House: EVER SO HUMBLE: By Tim Pinckney. Midnight Theatricals has announced the launch of a Virtual Reading Series focused on developing new work with playwrights, actors, directors, and other creatives. Some Broadway performers have signed on for the series, including Hadestown stars Eva Noblezada and Reeve Carney.

The new musical Almost Famous has posted an audition notice announcing a run at a Broadway theatre next fall! According to the listing, previews are set for October 2020 and the production will open in November 2020. 

The Green Room 42 kicked off their 2020 of 'GR42 Sings' with a bang! In their introductory season they tackled composers such as Rodgers & Hammerstein, Andrew Lippa, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Alan Menken and Andrew Lloyd Webber, as well as celebrating Disney Villains and singing through In the Heights. They started off their 2nd season by singing through the music that has been a staple of musical theatre: The Music of Boublil & Schönberg. “GR42 Sings Boublil & Schönberg” was a night where we will fall back in love with the classics from Les Miserables and Miss Saigon, as well as listen to some lesser known work such as The Pirate Queen and Martin Guerre.

One of the first regional productions of the recent Broadway hit comedy, THE PLAY THAT GOES WRONG at Pioneer Theatre Company is so wrong it's fabulously right.

Theatre-lovers are invited to the Cornley Polytechnic Drama Society's production of The Murder at Haversham Manor, via the Broadway and London hit comedy, THE PLAY THAT GOES WRONG. It opens at PIONEER THEATRE COMPANY (PTC) on December 6, 2019 and through December 21, 2019. Producers Lia Vollack, Joey Parnes, Sue Wagner, and John Johnson today announced the cast and creative team for Almost Famous, a world premiere musical with book and lyrics by Academy Award winner Cameron Crowe, based on his iconic film. Almost Famous, which will open the 2019-2020 Season at The Old Globe (Erna Finci Viterbi Artistic Director Barry Edelstein and Managing Director Timothy J. Shields), is directed by Tony Award® nominee Jeremy Herrin and features original music and lyrics by Pulitzer Prize and two-time Tony Award winner Tom Kitt. Performances will run September 13 a?' October 20, with an official opening night on September 27.

Off-Center Artistic Director Anne Kauffman and Director Will Davis to discuss the making of this production.

Wrapping up the Encores! Off-Center season is  Stephen Sondheim and John Weidman's Road Show, running July 24-27. Directed and choreographed by Will Davis, with music direction by James Moore, Road Show tells the somewhat true story of the Mizner brothers who inherit a small fortune at the turn of the 20th Century and set out to grab their piece of the American Dream in a country where anything seems possible. The production will star Chuck Cooper (Papa Mizner), Raul Esparza (Wilson Mizner), Jin Ha (Hollis Bessemer), Mary Beth Peil (Mama Mizner), and Brandon Uranowitz (Addison Mizner).
