Drury Lane Theatre announces the cast for Disney's Beauty and the Beast, with music by Alan Menken, lyrics by Howard Ashman and Tim Rice, book by Linda Woolverton, direction by Alan Souza and choreography by Ron De Jesus. Disney's Beauty and the Beast was originally directed by Robert Jess Ross and originally produced by Disney Theatrical Productions. Disney's Beauty and the Beast runs November 9, 2018 - January 27, 2019, at Drury Lane Theatre, 100 Drury Lane in Oakbrook Terrace. The press opening is scheduled for Thursday, November 15 at 8:00 p.m.

Broadway Records and Yellow Sound Label today announced So Much To Say – Songs for Every Town, will be released digitally on Friday, October 5, 2018. The album will be available at www.BroadwayRecords.com, Amazon and iTunes upon release.

Broadway is currently celebrating the 50th year of Hello Dolly and the Folksbiene is mounting Fiddler On The Roof (in Yiddish) for its same Golden Anniversary. Due to demand, The New Group has announced a three-week extension for Jerry Springer - The Opera, with Matt McGrath appearing as Jerry Springer beginning March 13.  Terrence Mann, currently appearing in the role of Jerry Springer, plays his final performance March 11 due to an existing commitment beyond that date.

Special invitational presentations of THE MUSEUM OF BROKEN RELATIONSHIPS, a new musical featuring Tony winner Jessie Mueller and inspired by the Museum of Broken Relationships in Zagreb, Croatia, are set for today (Monday) and tomorrow in Manhattan. Music is by Daniel Green, with book, lyrics & direction by David H. Bell.

The Secret Garden has book & lyrics by Marsha Norman, music by Lucy Simon, and is based on the novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett. The production runs now through May 28, 2017 at the Stage Theatre at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts. The DCPA Theatre Company announced today that due to popular demand, they have added an additional performance of The Secret Garden on Sunday, May 28 at 6:30 p.m. The performance will benefit the DCPA's student matinee program.

Peter Stark's best-selling bookASTORIA: John Jacob Astor and Thomas Jefferson's Lost Pacific Empire; A Story of Wealth, Ambition, and Survival comes to life on stage at The Armory in a world premiere production directed and adapted by Chris Coleman. Astoria: Part One is the first world premiere to debut as part of the company's new Northwest Stories series. This monumental piece of American history will be told in two parts over the course of two seasons. Astoria: Part One opens on the U.S. Bank Main Stage on January 20, with preview performances beginning January 14, and regular performances running through February 12. Select dates will be presented as part of Fertile Ground, a city-wide festival of new works held every January in Portland. Astoria: Part Two will be presented during the 2017-2018 season. 

National Alliance for Musical Theatre presents the 28th Annual FESTIVAL OF NEW MUSICALS. The Festival will take place tonight, October 27 and tomorrow, October 28, 2016 at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street, between 8th and 9th Avenues).
