Seven months prior to the 2018 Midterm Elections, Cabaret Show Producer, Publicist, and Performer Stephen Hanks launched a variety show series as fundraisers for Democratic Senate, Congress, and State Legislature candidates. The critically acclaimed CABARET CAMPAIGNS: RIDE THE BLUE WAVE 2018! at Don't Tell Mama featured 28 different performers and raised more than $6,000 divided among 30 candidates. Election Day 2018 was indeed a a?oeBlue Wave,a?? as the Democrats flipped 40 seats in Congress.

Continuing its 35th Anniversary season, Urban Stages (Frances Hill, Founding Artistic Director) proudly announces the line-up for a brand-new festival patterned after its award-winning series WINTER RHYTHMS. SUMMER MELODIES 2019 will begin Thursday, June 20 featuring some of New York's best musical performances through Saturday, June 29, 2019 at Urban Stages Theatre (259 West 30th Street, just East of 8th Avenue). To help him with his ‚ÄúCampaigning,‚ÄĚ Hanks has recruited All-Star Casts of Cabaret performers who are equally passionate about motivating people to ‚ÄúRide the Blue Wave‚ÄĚ in 2018. On Hanks' Birthday, October 13, 7 pm, CABARET CAMPAIGNS: RIDE THE BLUE WAVE 2018! GOLDSTEIN, a new musical about family with music and lyrics by Michael Roberts (Golf: The Musical) and a book byCharlie Schulman (The Kitchen), will play its final performance on Sunday, May 20 at 3pm at the Actors Temple Theatre (339 West 47 St -between 8th and 9th Avenues). Directed by Brad Rouse (Hit The Body Alarm) and choreographed by Sarah O'Gleby (Associate Choreographer, Disney's Frozen),GOLDSTEIN began performances on Monday, March 26 and officially opened on Thursday, April 5. At the time of closing, GOLDSTEIN will have played 10 previews and 52 regular performances.

GOLDSTEIN, a new musical about family with music and lyrics by Michael Roberts (Golf: The Musical) and a book byCharlie Schulman (The Kitchen), announced today a new ticket promotion. From now through May 27, GOLDSTEIN will be offering buy-one-get-one tickets at the box office for patrons with the last name "Goldstein," - or patrons with a last name that includes a "Gold" or a "Stein" - with a photo ID. In lieu of a photo ID, they will happily accept a well-crafted, convincing argument.

GOLDSTEIN, the new musical about family, with music and lyrics by Michael Roberts and a book by Charlie Schulman, opened just last night at the Actors Temple Theatre (339 West 47 St -between 8th and 9th Avenues), where it is settled in for an open-ended run. The musical will open on Thursday, April 5th. GOLDSTEIN is directed by Brad Rouse, and choreographed by Sarah O'Gleby.
