Phoebe Fox

Phoebe Fox made her acting debut in 2010 in A Month in the Country, playing Vera Aleksandrovna at Chichester Festival Theatre. In 2011, she played Celia in As You Like It at the Rose Theatre in Kingston, Ruth in The Acid Test at the Royal Court Theatre, Anne in There Is a War at the National Theatre, and Ash in All the Trees of the Field in Response to Isaiah at the Bush Theatre. Her theatre performances earned her a nomination for the 2011 Evening Standard Theatre Award for the Milton Shulman Award for Outstanding Newcomer. That year, she also appeared as a nightclub girl in the film One Day and as Hallam in an episode of Black Mirror.

In 2012, Fox appeared as Masha Hawkins in an episode of Coming Up, Eleanor Higgins in an episode of New Tricks, and Grace Watkins in the television series Switch, in which she appeared in six episodes. She also played Cordelia in King Lear at the Almeida Theatre.

In 2014, Fox played Liz Reitell in the television film A Poet in New York and the Duchess of Savoy in an episode of The Musketeers. She also appeared as Kate in the film War Book. That year, she played Catherine in A View from the Bridge at the Young Vic, earning a nomination for the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role. In 2015, she played Eve Parkins in The Woman in Black: Angel of Death, Vanessa Bell in the BBC drama Life in Squares, and Carrie Gershon in the thriller Eye in the Sky. She also performed as Polly/Cyclist in the BBC Radio 4 production Fugue State.

In 2015 and 2016, Fox performed at the Lyceum Theatre on Broadway. In 2016, she played Lady Anne Neville in The Hollow Crown: Wars of the Roses, appearing in episodes based on Henry VI, Parts 2 and 3, and Richard III. She also played Leah Hanwell in the BBC Two television film NW and Kathy in the six-episode BBC2 miniseries Close to the Enemy.

In 2017, Fox played Olivia in Twelfth Night at the National Theatre. In 2018, she appeared as Katherine Rookwood in Blue Iguana and voiced Cinderella Parker and Hermione Parker in the BBC Radio 4 productions Mythos: Glamis and Albion. She also played Lucy Hawthorne in the BBC Radio 4 production The Case of Charles Dexter Ward. In 2019, she played Kaye Newman in the Sky One series Curfew and appeared as Antonia in The Aeronauts and Paula in Intrigo: Samaria. She also voiced Parker in the BBC Radio 4 production The Whisperer in Darkness.

From 2020 to 2023, Fox starred as Marial in the television series The Great, alongside Elle Fanning and Nicholas Hoult. The cast received a nomination for the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series. In 2020, she also voiced Parker in the BBC Radio 4 production The Shadow Over Innsmouth.

In 2022, Fox appeared in the short film Nobody Listens Anymore as Ruth and played Clara Page in the BBC Radio 4 production Who Is Aldrich Kemp? She reprised the role in Who Killed Aldrich Kemp? in 2023 and Aldrich Kemp and the Rose of Pamir in 2024.

In 2025, Fox played Sara in the television miniseries Task. In 2026, she joined the main cast of the television series War as Serena Byrne.
