This show has a lot to consider and a lot to discuss for the appropriate theater patron. I went into EPAC's production of How I Learned to Drive not knowing what to expect. I have never heard of the show. EPAC's synopsis was not very helpful. It referenced 'a woman's coming of age through the 60's and 70's' and said that the story 'finds compassion and humor in the places you'd least expect'. I was prepared for something light and fluffy along the lines of the TV show, The Wonder Years. I was wrong, very wrong.

The Ephrata Performing Arts Center will present Paula Vogel's Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize winning-play, How I Learned to Drive, March 9th through 18th. With direction by Edward R. Fernandez and assistant direction from Ben Galosi, this play promises to be a thrilling opener to EPAC's 2023 mainstage season.

The Ephrata Performing Arts Center (EPAC) will present a one-night-only concert dedicated to the life, legacy, and works of the great American composer, Stephen Sondheim, on February 18th. The concert, titled Sondheim Tribute Revue, will be directed by EPAC Artisitc Director, Edward R. Fernandez, with music direction by Michael Truitt, and script written by Alan Gomberg.

The Ephrata Performing Arts Center (EPAC) will be presenting the award-winning, hit musical-comedy, A Gentleman's Guide to Love & Murder, April 28th through May 14th, 2022.

In this era of reality TV and lightning fast virality, it's extraordinary when an artist can achieve fame for more than 5 minutes. Cue: The Black Sorrows. Nearly 40 years after their hometown debut, the legendary Australian roots rock band has amped up their enviable catalogue with another in a long line of chart-busting albums and blistering new singles - Saint Georges Road and 'Revolutionary Blues' are available now.

Don't let the name fool ya. EPAC's production of Something Rotten is totally fresh. In fact, it is their best show post-pandemic, by far. (Any show that rhymes 'penis' and 'genius' in it's first ten minutes is gonna crack you up!)

For the first time in Southcentral PA, the hit musical comedy Something Rotten! will play at the Ephrata Performing Arts Center (EPAC) from October 7th through the 23rd.

Overall, The Boys In The Band is a very solid piece.  It will make you laugh.  It will make you think.  It is a great contribution to Pride Month and an excellent return to glory for the EPAC company.
