Inside Broadway has launched their signature “Build A Musical” program in 2023, which is part of NYC’s Cultural After-School Adventures Program, that offers after-school cultural activities at public schools in all five boroughs.

Celebrating its 40th anniversary season in 2022, Inside Broadway announces the return of its professional touring production this year – the first time since COVID-19, bringing classic Broadway musicals directly into New York City school's auditorium to give the students, teachers, and staff a fun, educational, and safe live theatre experience.

Leading NYC arts education nonprofit Inside Broadway (Executive Director, Michael Presser) recently begun its city-wide school tour of All Kinds of People, a special musical revue developed in collaboration with The Rodgers & Hammerstein Organization, designed to promote tolerance and acceptance using the words and lyrics of the great Oscar Hammerstein II. On Thursday, December 12 leading NYC arts education nonprofit Inside Broadway (Executive Director, Michael Presser) and Broadway's 'DELICIOUSLY DARK and HILARIOUS new musical' (Entertainment Weekly) Beetlejuice will present special Creating the Magic programs offering an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at Broadway's 'JAW-DROPPING FUNHOUSE!' (The New York Times), featuring select members of the Beetlejuice cast and production crew.

The Gershwins' Real Magic, a new musical created by NYC arts education nonprofit Inside Broadway(Executive Director, Michael Presser) and developed with The Estate of George & Ira Gershwin andTams-Witmark, a Concord Theatricals Company, will get 2 special performances on Monday, April 15 at10:30am and 12:30pm at the New York Public Library at Lincoln Center, Bruno Walter Auditorium.Created to introduce a new generation to the beloved music of George & Ira Gershwin, this exciting new production began a New York City-wide school tour in January and will have played 90 performances over 10 weeks at over 50 New York City Public Schools. On Monday, June 25 at their annual Broadway Beacon Awards Gala at The JW Marriot Essex House (160 Central Park South), leading NYC arts education nonprofit Inside Broadway (Executive Director, Michael Presser) will honor Tony Award Nominee Ethan Slater (currently starring in the title role of the Tony-Nominated SpongeBob Square Pants the Musical). The evening will also honor Tony Award-winning Broadway producer Orin Wolf (The Band's Visit; President, NETworks Theatrical Presentations), Kenneth G. Alberstadt (Partner, Akerman LLP) and Alexandra Kambouris Alberstadt (Partner, Perkins Coie LLP). The gala will feature a special performance from the Broadway cast of Beautiful - The Carole King Musical and will be hosted by FOX5 reporter Baruch Shemtov.

On May 22 leading NYC arts education nonprofit Inside Broadway (Executive Director, Michael Presser) and the Broadway production of The Phantom of the Opera will present a special Creating the Magic program offering an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at Broadway featuring the Phantom Broadway cast & production crew. These exclusive 70-minute programs will be offered to over 2,500 NYC public school students at the Majestic Theatre on 5/22 at 11:00am and 2:00pm.

The Friars archives and Wikipedia have finally been corrected. Nineteen Eighty Eight was a watershed year for women. They gained membership to numerous private men's clubs that heretofore were off limits to women. The Friars, being one of the more famous of the bunch had an article heralding the event written by a less than factual reporter for The New York Times. The paper of record, in an early forerunner of fake news only listed the first 7 women and overlooked number 8...Jamie deRoy who was in that initial group, along with Liza Minnelli, Joan Rivers, Brooke Shields, and other prominent female entertainment figures was not mentioned.
