A Tony Award and MTV Moonman Awarded to Michael Jackson Choreographer Michael Peters and important documents from James Dean’s Broadway career will be auctioned by Nate D. Sanders Auctions on May 26, 2023.

Seth Rudetsky is coming back to Café Carlyle for Black History Month and celebrating the musical Dreamgirls. Seth has been a super fan of the show and, in 2001, he mounted a concert version on Broadway that raised $1,000,000 for the Actors Fund.

Stage Left Theatre has announced the cast for the upcoming production of MAN OF THE PEOPLE - a new play by Dolores Díaz and directed by Anna C. Bahow. The show is Díaz's anticipated new work since ZULEMA, produced by Goodman Theatre in 2021. Performances take place at Chicago Dramatists from October 19th through November 20th.

Dreamgirls stars Nicole Raquel Dennis as Effie White with Sharlene Hector performing the role at certain performances. Milton Keynes actress Natalie Kassanga will play the role of Deena Jones at Milton Keynes Theatre, her hometown venue.

Amy's Victory Dance, a documentary film by Emmy-nominee Brian Thomas, will premiere on April 2 and 5, 2020 as part of the 2020 ReelAbilities Film Festival in New York City. The uplifting and inspiring documentary follows the story of choreographer and dancer Amy Jordan, who, on a beautiful spring day in May 2009, was run over by a 15-ton New York City bus. As she regained awareness, she had no feeling on the right side of her body. Her first thought was, “Am I ever going to dance again?” Her second thought was 'If I survive the night, there will be a Victory Dance.'
