The founder of modern Sadism, Marquis de Sade's works are known for their controversy and sexual violence. More palatable is one of the few surviving plays, written by de Sade during one of his many stints in prison in the late 1700s. OXTIERN is undoubtedly a commentary on the French aristocracy that judged him so harshly.

3rd Act Theatre Company announced their second season, themed POWER, and shows to be performed, via a livestream event on Facebook last Saturday. Mainstage shows are: Running Mates by Beth Kandor, Setting the Nation Right and Other Easy Plays for Women, by Bell Elliot Palmer, and Heartbreak House by George Bernard Shaw.

Afrofuturism producers Trrmà have released their latest single, 'Shishapangma' on 6th of March. The track was premiered via VENTS Magazine and is lifted from their upcoming album, The Earth's Relief via 577 Records which will be released on 1st of May. The duo have received support from Italian publications Son Of Marketing, Rockerilla and Blow Up. The two have toured Japan, sharing a stage with Tatsuya Yoshida (Ruins), Koichi Makigami (Tzadik record), and Doravideo. Trrmà has also collaborated with American visual artist and pianist Charlemagne Palestine whilst one-half of Trrmà, Giovanni Todisco has previously worked with Italian punk duo ?Alos. Having toured Europe, the duo also played at L'homme a deux oreilles and Time Zones Festival.

Cass McCombs has announced new tour dates this week including a US run starting in San Diego on October 9 and a November European tour beginning on November 2 in London. He is also making his Americanafest debut this year with a performance in The Frothy Pit, a new collaboration featuring McCombs and country music legend Wynonna Judd. The Frothy Pit will be performing for the first time at the ANTI- Records showcase at AMERICANAFEST, taking place in Nashville at the Mercy Lounge on September 12. Glenda Jackson made a triumphant return to Broadway last year after a 30-year absence, winning every possible award for her performance in the smash hit revival of Edward Albee's Three Tall Women, including the Tony Award, Drama Desk Award, Drama League Award and Outer Critics Circle Award. Jackson's return to Broadway was hailed by critics and audiences as the theatrical event of the season, and the production broke the Golden Theatre's house record five times.
