Adrian Lukis who starred in the renowned BBC TV adaptation of Pride and Prejudice, returns to the role of Mr Wickham in the London premiere of Being Mr Wickham, presented by Original Theatre at Jermyn Street Theatre from Wednesday 5 June to Saturday 22 June 2024.

Pamela Carter, Jamei Haswell, John M. Loder, and Mitch Menchaca have joined the League of American Orchestras' Board of Directors; each will serve a three-year term. Marian Godfrey and Jesse Rosen were elected to the League’s Emeritus Board. The board’s officers for 2023-24 are Douglas M. Hagerman, Chair; Aaron A. Flagg and Alan Mason, Co-Vice Chairs; Chris Doerr, Treasurer, and Melanie Clarke, Secretary.

Following its run in London’s West End at the Leicester Square Theatre, Harry Hill and Steve Brown’s musical, TONY! [The Tony Blair Rock Opera] is currently on a UK tour. There are some things we don’t see enough in theatre. A few of these are: stories about women who love women and roles for older female-identifying actors. When these two come together, beauty often happens. Es & Flo is exactly this. Written by Jennifer Lunn, it follows Es’ condition as it threatens the life she’s built with Flo. It’s a stark reminder of the legacy of senior members of the LGBTQ+ community, a testimony of the survivors who fought for those rights that are still under threat today. It’s a harrowing celebration of lesbian romance.

New dates have been added to the UK Tour at Derby Theatre (12-16 September), Bromley Churchill Theatre (21-23 September), Eastbourne Devonshire Park Theatre (26-30 September) and Liverpool Playhouse (10-14 October, the same week the Labour Party Conference is in Liverpool).

At its core, Trio’s biggest wound is a self-inflicted one. The New Wolsey Theatre in Ipswich has announced the full cast and creative team for the world premiere of the new intimate musical Trio, which runs at the theatre from 7-15 October 2022. This world premiere production will also have livestreamed performances on 14 & 15 October 2022.

A week after Windrush Day saw Prince William and his wife visiting the National Windrush Monument at Waterloo Station, two children of the Windrush generation are at the heart of Roy Williams's new piece. Debuting at Hampstead Theatre, directed by Paulette Randall, it introduces sisters Dawn (Cherrelle Skeete) and Marcia (Suzette Llewellyn), who grew up as activists in 80s London.

BRING IT ON THE MUSICAL stars musical theatre and TV star Amber Davies as ‘Campbell’ and four-time Olympic medallist Louis Smith as ‘Cameron’. The show opens at the Southbank Centre’s Queen Elizabeth Hall, London on Wednesday 8 December 2021, following performances at Peterborough New Theatre and ahead of a UK tour in 2022.
