New Jersey Theatre Alliance (“The Alliance”), one of the nation's largest arts service organizations for professional theatre, is pleased to welcome Daria M. Sullivan as the new Manager of Programs and Services, Stephanie Haas in the newly created position of Development and Grants Manager, and Summer Dawn Reyes as the new Administrative Coordinator.

New Jersey Theatre Alliance and the New Jersey State Council on the Arts have announced the 2023 Cultural Access Award recipients that were announced and presented at the 14th Annual Excellence in Cultural Access Awards.

Based on a true story and real events, Carolyn M.Brown's STORME tells the story of Stormé DeLarverie – a big band singer going under the name of Stormy Dale – a male impersonator of Harlem's famed Jewel Box Revue (America's first racially integrated and gay-owned drag show) who became an icon of the historic 1969 Stonewall Rebellion. She has been called the “Rosa Parks of the Gay Rights Movement.”

New Jersey Theatre Alliance and East Lynne Theater Company (ELTC) present a staged reading of the classic romantic comedy THE GUARDSMAN AND THE ACTRESS by Ferenc Molnar, adapted by Mark Edward Lang.

New Jersey professional and family caregivers are invited to submit all forms of creative writing, including  prose, poetry, and theatrical pieces that reflect the theme of caregiving or the personal healing experience.

New Jersey Theatre Alliance will deliver a new round of funding via the FY23 New Jersey Theatre Alliance Theatre Worker Relief Fund. This fund, made possible by a grant from the New Jersey Arts and Culture Renewal Fund, offers financial relief to artists affiliated with Alliance member theatres who are still feeling the negative financial effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Eleven very talented New Jersey high school students will be honored at The Theatre Project's 20th annual Young Playwrights Competition Performance and Awards Ceremony at 7:30pm, Monday, March 28.

The Theater Project (TheTheaterProject.org), a leading incubator for rising talent and a showcase for New Jersey artists, will be offering the thought-provoking interactive program, Black Lives/Blue Lives on Monday, March 21,1pm and 7:30pm, Tickets for the live online performances and facilitated discussions are $10.

For 25 years, New Jersey Theatre Alliance (“the Alliance”) has offered a spring festival of performances, workshops, and readings throughout the state. This year's festival will include a combination of in-person and online offerings.

The Creating Change Network, a program hosted by New Jersey Theatre Alliance and ArtPride New Jersey that aims to build a more equitable, just, and anti-racist arts community in New Jersey, announces a a series of learning opportunities for artists and arts administrators in the state. 

New Jersey Theatre Alliance (“The Alliance”), one of the state's largest arts service organizations, premieres “Opening Right Stories”, a series of video and written stories from New Jersey theatre artists and audiences members about their experiences during the pandemic, what they've missed about live theatre, and what they are looking forward to when they return.

All 40 members of the New Jersey Theatre Alliance as well as several of the state's presenting venues  have taken the Opening Night, Opening Right pledge to follow the most current medical advice, meeting or exceeding all local and national safety guidelines.
