BroadwayWorld is saddened to report the passing of Broadway veteran Brad Bradley, who lost his battle to cancer earlier this month. Brad, who starred in seven Broadway shows, was also the host of Broadway's Backbone- a podcast dedicated to the men and woman of the ensemble. BroadwayWorld is excited to bring you new episodes of Broadway's Backbone- a podcast dedicated to the men and woman of the ensemble: the chorus of dancers, singers, and actors that are the foundation of every Broadway musical. These often-unsung gypsies are the hardest working people on the boards and are Broadway's backbone.

A Sign of the Times, a new musical featuring the songs of Petula Clark and multiple hit-makers of the 1960s, is set to have a developmental reading October 24-28, 2022. The new musical has made several script revisions and now features a book by Lindsey Hope Perlman (Cassandra Complex), based on an original story by Richard Robin.

Stacey Tookey’s dream was to be in a ballet company. After achieving that dream, Stacey realized that she wasn’t  fulfilled and that dreams can change. After five years dancing with Celine at Ceasars Palace and due to an incredible support system, her choreography career started as an 'accidental happening.'

Everyone Dance series started as a joint project of Stefanie Nelson Dancegroup and AHRC New York, providing movement classes and performance opportunities for disabled adults. The collaboration resulted in a workshop course that allowed people with intellectual disabilities not only to learn dance but also to teach it – as was the case with Ervine Haskins, a young man from Crown Heights who discovered his calling as a dance teacher when given an opportunity to instruct others. With his original musical premiering this weekend in Los Angeles, Broadway's Tony Spinosa is masked up , vaxed up and ready for 'The Singing Revolution.' When Tony was in nursery school his parents were alerted Tony had the fire of an artist. Since then he has dedicated his life to the uniquely American art form, musical theatre. There is no one clear path to success, so Tony continues to value himself and trust that an act of kindness can change the world so deeply, he wrote a musical about it.

Broadway's Sam Strasfeld can currently be seen on Apple TV’s Schmigadoon! and in person at Mark Fisher Fitness. As one of the best male dancers of the past few seasons with Kiss Me, Kate, An American in Paris and Carousel, Sam knows when something is really hard, it forces him to be better. Sam treats every obstacle as an opportunity to learn something. He stands in the flames and figures out what to do differently. Next up, he wants to pay it forward with college curriculum that teaches performers to move better and cultivate positive self talk.

Boobs! The Musical: The World According To Ruth Wallis is a musical revue based on the music and lyrics of 50's/60's star Ruth Wallis. Using 23 of her songs, Boobs! tells the story of Wallis' international career and struggles with performing her naughty songs.

Casting has been confirmed for the 69th Broadway At Music Circus season, which begins June 11 at the Wells Fargo Pavilion. The season includes four Broadway At Music Circus premieres, Shrek the Musical, The Drowsy Chaperone, The Wiz, and In the Heights.
