Review: DEPOSITION Examines the Complexities and Culpabilties of Failed Marriages
by James Lindhorst - Nov 17, 2025
Deposition is an entertaining 90-minute story with, like many divorces, no clear resolution. Hanson’s script presents the evidence without assign fault. First Run Theatre’s staging is mostly effective, but at times felt a bit under rehearsed. Leading players Bill Burke, Ami Bossi, and Deb Dennert noticeably tripped over their dialogue or seemed to be reaching for lines. This will likely improve with added performances, but perhaps the loss of the director late in rehearsals may have been a contributing factor.
Review: THE DETAILS Empathic Spirit is Plagued by Wooden Dialogue
by James Lindhorst - Jul 28, 2025
The Details is a story of catharsis that stems from confronting one’s beliefs, taking accountability for behavior, and charting a path forward for change. The narrative has promise. Larson has a strong point of view, and he has penned a play with a mostly satisfying conclusion. The character’s burdens and their resulting emotional conflict hold your attention, but there are scenes when it is a struggle to get past the inane dialogue. The chatter is too simply too tidy and formulaic.
BWW Review: FLANAGAN'S WAKE Invites Participation, Improvs Your Stories, and Pays Respects to Everyone's Favorite Cousin

Flanagan's Wake: The Hilarious Interactive Irish Wake kicks off with a pre-show show that sets the tone where, among other happenings...

The Vogues to Play Spencer Theater for the Performing Arts, 8/31
by Tyler Peterson - Aug 20, 2013
During a glorious run in the 1960s, The Vogues, a group of high school buddies from Turtle Creek, Pennsylvania, made their mark with a lush, harmonized sound a bit mellower than most rock and a lot richer than pop. The effect was a string of hits that repeatedly pushed deep into the top forty -- four times making the top ten -- and eventually landed them in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
