The Beacon Theatre Presents THE ULTIMATE DOO-WOP SHOW, 9/25

MSG Entertainment, Canterbury Productions and Star Productions are proud to welcome The Ultimate Doo-Wop Show to the Beacon Theatre on September 25, 2010 @ 8pm.

The recent record-breaking PBS-TV music specials, "50 Years of Doo-Wop" were so well received that it created a new showcase and new audiences for veteran Doo-Wop artists, resulting in additional PBS-TV specials. The venerable TV news magazine, CBS Sunday Morning recently aired a feature on the Doo-Wop shows at the Beacon to a national audience treating 50 something concert-goers to this music. Doo-Wop is like a first love. Nothing is more memorable than a first love?

An impressive list of 12 original Doo-Wop artists will be part of THE ULTIMATE DOO-WOP SHOW, heading to the Beacon Theatre, New York City for one 8pm song-filled concert. This stellar lineup consists of: Lou christie (Lightning Strikes), The Vogues re-united with original leads, Bill Burkette and Hugh Geyer (Five O'Clock World), The Diamonds/David Somerville (Little Darlin'), The Edsels (Rama Lama Ding Dong), The Volumes (I Love You),The Penguins/Cleve Duncan (Earth Angel),
The Cookies (Chains), The Pentagons/Joe Jones (To Be Loved), Randy & The Rainbows featuring Randy Safuto (Denise), The Bobbettes (Mr. Lee), The Blue Suede Orchestra (Buzz, Buzz, Buzz), added attraction, Deke & The Blazers (Doo-Wop Straight from the Heart) with Special Guest Emcee NORM N. NITE "Mr. Music."
