Acclaimed pianist, entertainer, and musical director Kevin Winebold returns to The Green Room 42 with Kevin on the Keys: Main Character Energy on Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at 7:00 PM.

The one-night-only performance features virtuosic piano solos, razor-sharp humor, heartfelt connection, and a few surprises — plus guest appearances by Q. Smith, Dickie Drew Hearts, Andrew Cristi, Justin Dylan Nastro, and Sofia Santos. The show will also be livestreamed and include ASL interpretation by Flamingo Interpreting, ensuring accessibility for all.

Praised by BroadwayWorld as “a one-man orchestra… an incredible pianist,” Winebold’s celebrated Kevin on the Keys series has delighted audiences at The Laurie Beechman Theatre, Chelsea Table + Stage, and The Green Room 42.

Headliner
Kevin Winebold is a musical multi-hyphenate based in New York City. A two-time MAC Award nominee, he’s been praised by BroadwayWorld as “a one-man orchestra” with “fantastic fingerwork” and “masterful control of tempo, dynamics, and timbre.” Kevin’s work has appeared on stages on and off-Broadway, in theatres across the country, and on four continents. His debut piano album, Return to the Heart, was nominated for the Lamott Friedman Award for Recording.

Dickie Drew Hearts

Dickie Drew Hearts is an award-winning Deaf actor and film director amplifying Deaf, LGBTQ+, and BIPOC voices through American Sign Language onscreen. He created, wrote, directed, and co-starred in the independent rom-com pilot Passengers, currently in post-production. On TV, he played Mateo—his first recurring role, in Netflix’s Tales of the City (2019), and appeared in Grace & Frankie (2017) and HBO’s High Maintenance (2020). On stage, he earned an Obie Award, and Lucille Lortel nomination, for The Public Theater’s Dark Disabled Stories (2023). Hearts champions accessibility, ASL, and Deaf culture through storytelling.


Justin Dylan Nastro

Justin Dylan Nastro is a born and raised New Yorker. He is the 2024 MAC Award winner for Male Vocalist and the 2025 recipient of the Pomranz Performance Grant. He is delighted as always to be onstage with Kevin tonight performing a Winebold original.


Sofia Santos

Guest Artist
Sofia has starred in over a dozen musicals with Mr. Kevin as musical director. When Mr. Kevin first saw her on stage, she was playing a marshmallow. Fast forward, and she has gone on to play Miss Hannigan in Annie, Alice in Alice in Wonderland, and Anna in Frozen. She is currently a sophomore at Repertory Company High School, where she recently played Oedipus in Oedipus the King. She has also performed on Good Morning America...twice!


Q. Smith

Q. Smith: Was last seen in the seven-Time Tony nominated play Hills of California directed by Sam Mendes. Q. is best known for creating the role of Hannah in the Tony Award winning musical (for Best Director) Come From Away. She is also in the film version on AppleTV+. Q. has toured with the North American Broadway show A Night With Janis Joplin, playing the roles of Aretha Franklin and Nina Simone. Before Come From Away, Q. closed the Broadway production of Mary Poppins and made her Broadway debut in the 1st revival of Les Miserables. Off-Broadway she performed the role of Mabel Washington and recorded the soundtrack for Fame: On 42nd Street. Other noted credits include Abyssinia: A Gospel Celebration with Wynton Marsalis at the Lincoln Center, Showboat in concert at the renowned Carnegie Hall, guest soloist for Hillary Clinton’s Vital Voices Global Leadership Awards at the Kennedy Center, and guest soloist Barack Obama’s inaugural ceremonies. She has shared the stage with Gladys Knight, Rita Coolidge, and Gary U.S. Bonds in Smokey Joe’s Café, as well as Ledesi and Loretta Devine, and has traveled the world with various productions including Central America, Germany, and the entire USA. Not only is she an entertainer, but a passionate educator. Q. and her husband Lawrence created a coaching company called Your Stage. Your Moment! Where they offer workshops, private coachings, and masterclasses for all ages and levels across the country.
