Space Quest: A New Musical at The Green Room 42

After its hit run at the 2024 Hollywood Fringe Festival, Space Quest: A New Musical will touch down at The Green Room 42 on November 8 at 7 p.m. Featuring puppets, live music, and a cosmic cast of characters, the show celebrates the intersection of space opera and fantasy with humor and heart.

IN SOME HOLE IN THE GROUND, IN A GALAXY FAR, FAR AWAY….

Newlyweds ANDROMEDA, a writer who has never finished a story, and GLENN, a map maker who is terrified of leaving home, both dream of exploring the galaxy. When their ship is hijacked by a duo of wanted smugglers, they are swept away on an unexpected quest to save the galaxy. Their quest: retrieve the lost relics of the Grand Mage YODALF before the forces of evil find them first. Together, they must face fearsome beasts, prophetic princesses, and a mysterious DARK LORD. Andromeda and Glenn quickly learn that the galaxy is much bigger, and even more dangerous, than they ever could have dreamed.

Featuring an original story and book by Jack Doyle & Nina Groll, Music by Josh Moore, and Lyrics by Doyle and Moore, Space Quest is a laugh-out-loud musical comedy celebrating the Space Opera and Epic Fantasy genres, and a heartfelt tale about continuing to grow after living "happily ever after”.
