Multi-hyphenate artist Stephanie Sellars makes her singing debut at The Green Room 42 with a celebration of her latest jazz album release By Myself. The show By Myself: Jazz and Poetry, features songs she recorded and poetry she wrote while healing from divorce. Experience the journey from heartbreak to wholeness through jazz arrangements of standards, Broadway and alt rock tunes, plus poems performed to improvised accompaniment. Featuring Hyuna Park on piano, Yoshi Waki on bass, Brian Fishler on drums, and Amadis Dunkel on trombone.
Stephanie Sellars has been singing and performing for over 25 years, at NYC venues like Triad Theater, Laurie Beechman Theater, The Roxy Hotel, The Kitano Hotel, The Duplex and Gotham Comedy Club. In 2020, she released her first album of jazz standards and original title song "Girl Her Loves", which was featured in her film "Lust Life Love". Stephanie is also a writer and filmmaker, whose work has been featured in many film festivals and publications. You can hear her music on Spotify and ITunes and watch music videos on her YouTube channel Hot Jazz Crazy Cats and Instagram @the_stephaniesellars She lives in Hell's Kitchen, New York City and the Hudson Valley with her amazing cat Mini-Munch.
